Prime Rib burger.

I confess I enjoyed Carl’s when I lived in California. But Arby’s was absolutely awful back then anyway. I prefer The Beef Barn. Old school roast beef and burgers cheap as could be be.

and it's not even close. 'arbys' sounds like a slang insult word, sumthing like 'nobody goes to their parties. they're all just a bunch of arbies.' and, their roast beef tastes like it was boiled in a salt and msg vat. lol. Carl rules. (except for micky d's. there can only be one!)

Yep. I was joking around last night about not knowing they were the same restaurant/franchise.
It’s been a long time back in the 90s when I saw these 2 restaurants prevalent in KS and CO. Sonic too. Seems like just yesterday but thought Hardee’s was pretty descent for rest area food. I don’t remember trying Carl’s.

Seriously, I went occasionally to the one off federal hill in danbury cause my grandparents lived in the condos up the street from there but only got curly fries there which was pretty solid. I went out to SLC a couple years ago to go snowboarding with a buddy who had like a $5 for 5 coupon from them and actually tried the sandwiches, they were absolute garbage, i think i could have made better sandwiches from whatever food i had lying around the house. This is when they had those mini sandwiches .

Jack in the Box > Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s***

Full disclaimer is that I’ve only eaten from these places after a night of drinking. Jack in the Box easily wins.

None of this food either at Carl’s or Arby’s looks like the pictures when you order. Prime rib.

I have to admit that I'm a sucker for a fresh hot quarter pounder w/ cheese and fries. Never disappoints.

Jack in the Box = Gag in a Bag

...but the meat had a green tint.
yeah, that’s a harmless biofilm that forms on meats processed with chlorine that imparts a lovely unami. not much on presentation, which is why you never lift (cross) the bun (streams).
