I knew Cierra Warren would be big for them this season. She is going to surprise some people. I am hoping for a great season for the Cardinals.

L'ville is doing some serious recruiting. hopefully they land Russell if UCONN doesn't. frankly i think we are on the outside looking in for her, but who knows?

Cierra was fantastic. Sara Hammond and Bria Smith were also really, really good. Shawnta Dyer was fabulous(medical red shirt freshman). We are looking very good, and deep.
Mo Reid and Shoni were non-factors.
Granted, you have to consider the team you are playing, and how this will transfer to a more appropriate match up. That being said it was a great start to the season.

As an aside, our French recruit, Monny Niamke was academically ineligible and is at Lindsay Wilson getting things in order. So, we fans got a little taste of her, too. She is lightening fast. We have a lot to look forward to this year, and the years to come.

Hopefully we add Russell in 2013 and one other of the kids considering us(Greenwell, Mavunga, and Jackson).

To use some regional language, our fillies broke well from the gate.
We look forward to welcoming UCONN to The YUM! this year.
Worth the trip if any of you folks can make it. A lovely little city we have with an excited fan base!

Meh. While I guess its good for WCBB to have a emerging strong fanbase in addition to the existing ones.... I cant root for the Cards in any fashion. They will be a dangerous team this year, and for the forseeable future.

Though I just remembered that it was Louisville that eliminated Maryland in the 2009 regional final down in Raleigh... so I do have them to thank for that.
