Can we stop with the Uconn football only and Big East bball posts? The only reason to go Big East in bball and that's a big issue in itself is if football goes up in smoke ... Only then should we even mention Big East bball as an option. No way the big 12 says yea we want your new and currently rebuilding football program but we are going to pass on that blue chip bball program

Yes, but the B12 can decide what it wants and make demands. The AAC is just a desperate cobbled together cluster F

We are in a conference already that has 2 members in Texas, 1 in Oklahoma, 1 in Louisiana, 1 in Tennessee and 2 in Florida.

So WF Car Wash guy has known for months that there would be Big 12 Expansion even before the conference itself knew? Wow this dude really is connected.
Yes, he sees all and knows all. You would be wise to recant your doubting thought before the rapture (aka the announcement of which teams are going to the Big 12.)

You know if this guy is right, he could become the Big Red of conference realignment. He would be welcomed at all tailgates and bars and would never have to pay for a drink.

I'm saying football and hoops only makes more sense than just football if they want to minimize the travel for other non-revenue sports.

The only non-revenue sports it would meaningfully impact is women's soccer and volleyball.

Baseball/softball already play a large part of their season down South for weather reasons. We just start our seasons in Texas instead of Florida.

Many sports only compete in "conference" play once a year for the league championships, and regional meets otherwise (for UConn, this is track and field, cross country, women's rowing, swimming and diving).

Tennis and golf don't play full round robin, but they typically do play regional heavy slates and occasional national trips.

The Big Twelve doesn't sponsor field hockey, women's lacrosse, ice hockey, or men's soccer. We already have affiliate memberships for all but the last and men's soccer will have no problem finding one.

Football will be swimming in cash. Basketball already plays a national schedule and being back in a power league will mean again with the cash swimming.

Soooooo are we in?!

Yes, just waiting for them to pick the other schools. Already bidding out the contract for 90mm improvements to the athletic facilities.

@Athlete94 was just trying to make ends meet and to obtain helpful information for others regarding his alma mater when he was injured in an unfortunate industrial accident. The video shown below shows the frightening mechanism of injury.

He continues to exhibit symptoms of vertigo and extreme dizziness. We wish him well in his recovery.
