Wow good for UCLA. Nice pick up for them!! Interesting that top recruits are now giving UCLA a look since Caldwell left... Did she even recruit a single top 25 kid in her 4 years at UCLA?

I think Markel Walker might have been the only kid she ever got to come to UCLA who was inside the top 25. Not sure tho...

It will be interesting to see how UCLA continues to recruit compared to Stanford. Seems the Cardinal's stranglehold on the top spot in the PAC 12 is getting more and more tenuous looking into the future...

Her and Caldwell are making for a nice UCLA recruiting class. #2 and #6 per HG.

Good for her. The talk was that she wanted to stay in CA though UCLA was not among her top from several weeks ago. I guess the UCLA staff convinced her that she and Caldwell could co-exist in the same backcourt.

Have to say I am excited however I do think it will be hard for them both to be on the floor at the same time, IMO Canada is who I wanted At the point, she is a true PG and makes everyone around her better but now we need size to go with her.

Congratulations to UCLA. Sadie Edwards looks like the main ballhandling guard for the Uconn class of 2014. Reportedly, Uconn is looking to recruit a total of 3 guards for the class. Ekmark is the second. I wonder who the third guard might be.

Gabby Williams maybe?

Sounds good to me. Add in Wilson, Westbeld and Calhoun, and that would one heck of a class.

I'm with you. I think the chances are...
Calhoun 80%
Westbeld 60%
Wilson 30%

Interesting that Caldwell and Canada both go there. I'm not sure if their games are fully compatible or not.

We had a good shot at both but came up empty. I like Sadie Edwards, though.

Given the info that Turner and Canada had become lower priorities, I'm not surprised. Either Geno et al. were losing interest or, perhaps more likely, he sensed that they were leaning elsewhere.

It looks like Jordin and Recee are good friends according to this article on Fullcourt:

Close has now picked up two of the best guards in the 2014 class -- Recee Caldwell, ranked No. 12 in the 2014 Full Court Fresh 50, committed to the Bruins back in January. Canada and Caldwell are close friends, and Caldwell was the first person Canada called after she made the commitment.

"She was excited and very happy for me," said Canada about sharing the news with her BFF and future Bruins teammate. "She played a part in in my decision and playing with Recee is definitely a bonus."

Both players are accustomed to having the ball in their hands. At UCLA one is going to have the ball in her hands more than the other and, as wallman said, the one with the ball more should be Canada. A good friendship will help.
