I think it's Wilson's by a clear margin at this point. She's broken so many records and Vegas has turned it around and is playing well. Any combination of Collier/Stewart/Clark would fill out the 2-4 spots with Sabrina as 5th. I'm guessing it wont be unanimous but I see A'ja as the runaway winner.

I think A'ja wins, perhaps unanimously. I see Phee and Stewie next, possibly with some first-place votes. They are the best players on the 2 best teams. Caitlin's play got even better after the Olympic break. I see her at 4th, even though her team is just about .500. That's a heck of an accomplishment for a rookie.

Pheesa has had a season for the ages. No idea where my beloved Minnesota Lynx would be without Pheesa. But this has been A'ja's MVP run since game 4-5 of the season. It's not just the numbers that are impressive giving how teams are playing her out there. What has been impressive to me is, how she has handled all of the pressure and stepped up to the challenge.

I will say that Phee is on an upward track right now as the seasons nears the end, while A'ja is on a bit of a downward spiral, partially because I think she's exhausted of having to carry the Aces on her back (No player should be needing to take 28 shots in a game to barely win it.)

My current take is that MVP isn't going to be a unanimous decision anymore as it's going right now, with Phee excelling and A'ja's stats dropping a bit. had you asked me a month ago, I'd have said A'ja was unanimously the MVP. But with the way her team and she herself are going, I don't think that's the case anymore. Not to say A'ja is doing bad, I still think she's the best player in the league right now, but the gap between her and Phee is closing quickly if the Aces keep going the way they are.

I also feel like team success has played a part in past MVPs. The Lynx are thriving. The Aces are majorly struggling.
A’ja is unquestionably a great player and is almost certainly going to win the MVP. However, the thing that puzzles me, is how she never seems to be doubled and also that teams don’t seem to be trying especially hard to deny her the ball! I would think that if a player is dominating to that extent, it’s time to absolutely sell out and make the rest of the team beat you. Yet, this seemingly never seems to happen! Not that I’ve seen anyway. They absolutely face guard ( though this has eased somewhat now) Caitlin Clark for 90 feet and basically mug her on court as a matter of routine but then allow A’ja to receive the ball in her choice locations and then wonder why she is scoring 35 on them! I just don’t get it! I might lose anyway, but I’m not sitting back and allowing one player to essentially destroy my team without trying to make the rest of the team beat us!

Agree 100%. Why teams aren't doubling on her makes no sense to me. Especially since A'ja isn't a particularly strong passer and half of the time you have Kiah Stokes on the court who isn't an offensive threat (1.4 ppg in 18.4 mpg).

It is because she has great players around. Only comparable team is Liberty. That why think Pheesa should be mvp. Can anyone argue her team would be where it is without her? Certainly Vegas should be with basically any other strong post or power forward. Ky my opinion. But yeah, voters will vote for stats, despite Aces finishing only 4th.

A’ja unanimous 1st place

Phee one vote shy on unanimous 2nd place

Stewie 3rd (who received Phee’s “missing”2nd place vote)

C. Clark 4th

Alyssa Thomas 5th
