Comparing UConn to the other schools listed above, I like our chances.

Auburn/LSU: Are they the next team after Kansas to get hit with sanctions?

UCLA: They already have 5-star guard Daishen Nix in the mix. Does Cam want to be the man? Might not get that chance in Westwood.

Cole and Cam as a duo? My, my, my how good that could look.

Cole, Cam and Jackson and I’m shorting Viagra.

.-.
Cam, Cliff, Niels, Andre.
MAKE IT HAPPEN DANNY & CO!
I don’t know about Niels but that’d be great if they could make that work. Sounds more of a Florida lean with Texas strong on him too.

New list:

Lane announcement 10/8
Cliff bday and cutting list? 10/11
MDHuskfan bday 10/11
Mau bday 10/15..two commits expected 20 minutes after my first beer that day! ;)
So 9:20 AM?

lane's announcement could have a domino effect since it's probably coming first. if he commits on 10/8 then we cant take both thomas and jackson, so what would we do then?

we'd obviously rather have cam but what if getting jackson could also seal the deal with cliff??

can't risk offending either of these guys theyre too good. gotta be first come first served

I don’t think anyone is expecting Lane to pick UConn anyway

Ok we can pretend that every team has an equal chance in everyone’s recruitment if that floats your boat.
No pretense necessary. Odds are low but not zero. Always a small chance a recruit not expected to commit gets excited by the Dairy Bar or a weird dude at a urinal.

I don’t see any reason we can’t take both Cam and Jackson, and I haven’t heard it stated or implied by anybody here.

i agree but we got the coveted "last OV" which many here put a lot of stock into (myself not included)

sure it has. we can only take 3 guys max and 1 has to be a center. so if we get lane (that was my hypothetical) that means the second spot is for a center* (unless it's josh gray perhaps), and the third spot is for either thomas or jackson.

*optimistic the center will be cliff, cardwell or Javonte Brown Ferguson

Would we take both Cam and Jackson if we hypothetically got a Lane commitment?

Cam no doubt, probably Jackson too. If both of those guys were to be fully on board and our staff was just like "nah were all set" I'd be pretty pissed.

It’s a close call but from positional need, IMO Cliff + Andre > Cam + Lane

Of course we are discussing a low probability situation but we really need a decent 5 in this class.
True and I could see them telling Jackson no possibly, but in no circumstance should/would the staff turn Cam away in the hopes of landing Cliff. Especially with so much turnover in CBB, we could have 4 scholarships available next year when its all said and done, who knows the future of AG, Akok (NBA?), or someone else transferring out.

I see that Lane is visiting first, 6'5 and ranked 84th on 247, from Jersey, but I have not seen much of his game. Cam Thomas on the other hand, I've watched his tapes and I've read some information on him and for real he comes across as a really elite player, one of the best in the country. Sure would like to see Thomas on the floor as our 2 guard. With the guards we already have on the roster minus Vital because he's definitely out next year, I think our backcourt would match up real well with anyone in the country. Cam Thomas would elevate us like that.

Tough call, I'd lean toward Thomas and Lane. More dynamic scorers and Lane is an elite defender. Think positional need is a little overblown. With vital gone and possible AG we'll need scoring.

Assuming Carlton and akok return and IW and RS are serviceable backup bigs I would lean toward loading our rosters with scorers. But obviously adding Cliff would give us a great front court

There is no way Akok is a one and done.

I completely missed that your hypothetical was based on getting Lane. So I agree; we’re not getting Lane, Cam, and Jackson.
