Sissel has one of the most beautiful voices anywhere, and here she sings a most solemn song...Going Home. It gives peace to many. BTW she is a well known singer from Norway.

Lovely. Now I’m going to be listening to Dvorak all day. :)

Check out his Requiem. It’s not spoken of with the same reverence as Mozart or Verdi, but it’s probably my favorite piece of choral music.

The words were written by William Arms Fisher a couple of decades after the symphony. I first heard it by Paul Robeson -- my folks had this live version:

Always like this one, even if it did serve as a precursor to the disco craze of the mid to late 1970's.
