Pitino is a garden-variety idiot.

The Big East that "built" UConn did not have Louisville in it. And the Big East that UConn would remain in does not have the teams that was in it when UConn was "built".

Basically, Pitino can suck it.

Since 1989 or so, UConn has put more meaningful hardware in the conference trophy cabinet than the rest of the conference. (Combined?)

He's a hypocrite. He left the BE to better himself, but now he's trying to make UConn out to be the bad guys. His President is looking out for UL. Period. That's the bottom line. He's always trying to project some image and come off as a "good person." He's not and he should just deal with.

And in the 90's UConn pretty much carried the conference while those coaching "legends" got old and ineffective. The best 2 teams in any given year were UConn and... UConn and Nova, UConn and Pitt, UConn and Cuse, UConn and St. Johns...
