2026 Recruiting: Caden Pierce (Transfer) potential interest

If he doesn’t end up over here, anyone think Donnie Freeman from Fruity U could be an option?

Why? He got NBA attention last year. It doesn't mean he's a 1st round pick.
If he's not a 1st round pick then personally i'm not concerned about him leaving. Would be leaving so much guaranteed money on the table.

I’m not 100% sold on Reibe starting next year yet some people think Stew is a lock lolol. The only 2 100% locks are Silas and Ball.
Disagree on Reibe, agree on Stewart. Reibe will be starting. Stewie far from a lock as he continues to be too inconsistent. If he get Pierce, he's our starting 4, and as of right now, my guess is Landrew is the leader in the clubhouse to start at the 3.

Would be a solid pickup, good pedigree, decent play this year, though he's had some injury issues in his career so far.

Freeman is very talented, wouldn’t be my first choice with his injury history. Better than Pierce though.

If Freeman remains healthy and leaves Southern Canada at season’s end, he will be heading for the NBA draft, à la Judah Mintz. No way he transfers. Not for nothing… but I don’t think we want any players who are products of Autry’s system - no matter how talented.

What is he lacking? I thought it was shooting but he’s shooting lights out this season. He seems to be more athletic than T New and his. A/to numbers are great.

Tough draft for Solo or Silas. First round is pretty set with Meleek Thomas as perhaps final pick.

If 2nd round they have to consider a senior year with perhaps less talent to compete with.

Solo is pretty much out of the question, if Silas continues on with this level of play and closes out strong a guaranteed 2nd round deal will probably be on the table. With the depth of this draft we'll see plenty of 2nd round guys sign them this year.

I'm not sure he has the upside to warrant a first round pick in such a stacked draft

If he was either quicker/more athletic or was a few inches taller then it'd be a different story as far as the NBA is concerned imo.

He is great for us, but isn't he a little undersized for the NBA? He is listed at 6-4, an inch taller than Cam Spencer, and an inch shorter than Tristan Newton. So size isn't everything but you asked what he might be lacking. Just my perception but he doesn't really look tall or long to me. It is always interesting to me when players get to the combine and we find out their true height.

Yup. Solo needs to get his 3pt back to 40 plus if he wants to play in the nba. I’d be very happy to have them both back next year

silas problem is solely the inconsistent/bad early play. if he keeps playing like this he's got a real shot
