Not a good start for sure. Unfortunately the coaching staff is working mainly with players from the former "administration". Certainly not going to write the season off - but it kind of does make you wonder what the coaching staff was doing the past 2 months getting these guys ready for opening day...

I don't think I have the constitution to watch college football with these refs.

Campenni did nothing.

No shock they are confused about down and distance, they've been confused all qtr.

Although a little troubled, it's only the first quarter and the defense got a stop, so hopefully it was just jitters.
 
A lot of hand wringing about the crowd size. The angle they keep showing on TV looks pretty full to me. Is the opposite side completely empty?
 
Upstater is right. The only thing worse than UConn right now is the officials. They are completely lost. Even including the chain guys who already needed two tutorials on college rules.

If this game were taking place in Autzen Stadium, let alone Connecticut, I would still agree with this.
 
We need Letter Man to take the "S" out of Sad Max and put an "M" in there.

I'd like to see Arkeel get a few carries and more Mariner. Seems like we need a little speed on the edges to open things up. Pounding it up the middle with Max and 3-4 yard passes just seems to be creating a traffic jam out there. The nice drive before the pick was all Mariner and Arkeel on the edges.
