I noticed this too, whenever I'm having a bad spell I change my hair and become a new person. I love Ponytail Paige. I dyed my hair copper red a decade ago and had the best years of my life as this new version of myself.

She did not change her hairstyle. The person, Kayla Williams, that does her hair, was sick. Paige said as much in an interview after the game. She said the braids will be back, too

That was a well played game by the Huskies for the most part. Now they need to play like that on the road.

Jana played a good game scoring 10 points in 15 minutes on 4-5 shooting plus 2-3 FT's.
She showed some spin moves and seemed to be playing down low more.
She's stepped it up & contributed in every category.

It is probably just a coincidence but I love how Paige took out her traditional braids to change her “funk”. After today, we may not see the braids for a while. LOL

Statistically and from a pure basketball standpoint, the Huskies pitched a near perfect game in the first half. I realize, it is against a depleted Butler squad but completely dominating on both ends is not easy.

McGuff is a nice player.

My favorite play was Aubrey’s first half layup. Two fabulous passes from Sarah and Ash.

For the first time since December 15th, Ash shot foul shots. She now has been to the line in two out of the 23 games played.

A rare sight seeing Allie play point in the second half.

It is a little out of control, but nobody will ever accuse Q of not playing hard in her limited minutes.

Love what Geno is doing with minutes. This team is ready for Tennessee.
And I think Allie looked more comfortable ( playing at point ) than during any other appearance this year. She was seeing the court, moving fluidly and passing crisply. She even opened up some shots for herself ( which she made). For the first time, she looked like a quality asset. As for Q, she seems amazing with athleticism and skills .....moving too fast for her to control, still. No lack of effort at all. I see her as a recently born giraffe trying to keep up with the adults. Awkward and long, but reacting just as a young giraffe should. Geno must see something as well. I don't think it will be this year, but she has a lot to give. She is in the category of Aubrey as far as speed and athleticism.

Apologies Nan for drifting:

Tomcat said it very well:
It's really hard to tell how good UConn is against a team that's as understaffed (feisty, well-coached, but understaffed) as Butler.

Watching this game a 2nd time; I have absolutely not a clue as to how this team will do against the likes of our future top-25 and top-10 opponents.

Butler provided open lanes to the basket for Paige and KK...unlikely to see much of that going forward.

The shooting (especially` from outside) has become more consistent but was certainly not rushed by the Butler D.

I'm a perennial worrier....Just wish I had more relevant information.
Talking about the game isn’t drifting, talking about Tennessee is

Just a couple of observations from the game (finally, in person!)

1. Ice should really look to shoot more. She's so focused on looking for the pass, but on the flip side, has a lot of space to shoot. That being said, when she's closer to the basket she seems to try and force the shot which leads to avoidable turnovers. But, I love the energy and I have to say that every time she came on she brought a sense of "I got this".
2. As much as it is talked about, I have to say it as well... Shade is fantastic. I used to coach Rugby and this is the kind of player I would have killed to have on my team. Her on court communication is something else, she's everywhere, she never stops working, I mean - wow. Really.
3. You guys are so lucky to have this team and all the atmosphere around. I'm really quite jealous :)
