What a game!!!

The play of the game: The game tied at 63 apiece, McNeeley -And1 play sealed the game. He has the biggest cojones of all the freshmen in the college bar none.
We will ride with Liam McNeeley!
The game after tied at 63 become a highlight reel for Uconn: McNeeley, Karaban and Diarra all stepped up big time.
McNeeley-Karaban: the best clutch wing duos in the college.
PS. Hurley won another close game ;-)

Currently inline at Macys with my gf for Santa land then radio city then Rockefeller center so won’t be able to see game til tonight. Was getting updates on the phone was it the nail biter that it seemed to be?

Conference road games are function over form.

As Jimmy V said one-point conference road wins are a blowout.

Plenty to like including Alex getting his swagger back and another great game by McNeeley and Diarra.

Figuring out substitution patterns that can sustain leads and momentum is next progression for this team.

Gutted it out. Why does it seem like the refs always pucker their arseholes in the last 4 minutes every. single. game.

I think most every big east game is going to be a battle like that.

But was most disappointed to see us build up a big lead in the 2nd half only to give it away. They made 10 more FT's than we did and committed 7 less fouls according to the officials. A W is better than a L, but it certainly wasn't a thing of beauty...

The analytics people will hate our shot chart in this one. So many contested mid range 2s. We let Butler dictate our offense, except for the start of the game … and at the end, when we ran our stuff for AK (although we had the tough contested mid range 2 from Diarra go in as well).

A little bit of life from Mahaney was good to see. We keep burying him, but our ceiling involves him getting us some offense somehow, so that we can have another tool in our toolbox when Ball and/or Diarra aren’t scoring. We said that after Texas (as did Hurley) and he regressed, but maybe he can build on this one.

A win is better than a loss but would be nice to not have a close game every single time. This is the kind of thing that leads to early round exits.
But it’s early and team still finding its way.
