UC's best shot was going to the B12 with Louisville as their 11th and 12th member. Now they are in no man's land.

...cause it's your dream job?

LOL, I think it's more a case of dead end Colorado, so much work and no leash versus Tennessee with SEC money and easier recruiting.
not my point. Could have been Ohio State. Was referring to the article (posted somewhere on the BY), that made it look like he was staying at Cincy because of his commitment to the program and to the kids. Specifically quoted him.
Why say that, and then take off less than 24 hours later.

Doesn't make sense.

I take it back... The article had a comment by Jones from last year. I guess he can change his mind in a year.

Cincinnati has the benefit of being in an intense hotbed of football talent. Hell, the city houses one of the nation's best high school programs. Once Cincy ends up in a non-BE conference, I wouldn't be surprised to see it turned into a perennial ranked team in football. They have the location that we seriously lack.

actually they have the biggest location issue of anyone right now. They are in OSU's backyard. That isn't going to gain them access to the Big10...

Yeah, except if ND ever went to the ACC for football, they'd be an insta-invite. Louisville to ACC really helped their cause too (just 2 hours away). Cincy is also in good position for a B12 invite too. Any of these things can happen and you can recruit in Cincy. Maybe tOSU gets many of the recruits, but at least one or two slip to Cincy...and these are guys that UConn wishes they could even try to get.

Anyone listen to Jones' intro press conference. This guy is what a Coach should be. Understands the job and the multiple audiences he is playing to. Listening to him speak for five minutes made me want to check the transcript and see if there is any eligibility left.
Watch this guy, and other successful HC's on the sidelines during the game. Then watch our so called HC. Somebody check to see if PP has a pulse!
