With all due respect to Brittney, she simply doesn't have the size or athleticism to compete meaningfully with men. Lots of male players are 6'8", but they have way more muscle and ups. Griner isn't 200 lbs. In the NBA, she'd be a small forward, but she doesn't have the handle or range to play that position.

Someone like Maya would be a little more interesting competing with men playing PG. And I still wouldn't recommend it.

Just as I never thought Floyd Merriweather should prove himself by fighting one of the Kitchkos, I'm happy with women not trying to compete with men in basketball.

No female player is ready for the NBA. They would all be lucky to get off a shot and would have the ball stolen almost every time they touched the ball. The NBA players are the greatest male athletes in the world. Can you imagine any of the women playing against Kobe or LeBron.

However, if Cuban wants a little summer league publicity, why not.

Publicity Stunt. No way would he used a 1st round draft pick on Griner. Now if it was a late pick with no salary guarantees he might do it.

If Griner couldn't handle the physical way Louisville played, just think what an NBA player would do to her.

Indeed, if you've spent any time in Texas, you know you don't want any part of a fire ant. Those things are everywhere and will mess you up. The speed at which they can build and expand a hill is mind-boggling.
