DMD go away.
$190,000 annually is not going to support KO’s lifestyle.

Or his ex-wife's. Remember he still owes her a lot of money on the terms of their divorce settlement.$190,000 annually is not going to support KO’s lifestyle.
You can feel however you want about GM, but he is in a better position now than KO, fact.
Only on the Boneyard would someone rather be Glenn Miller than Kevin Ollie from a financial standpoint.
Uh, one person is jobless likes to spend a lot of money and is divorced. The other has a job and is still married. Remind me again who you’d rather be?

Maybe the only coach he had at UCONN....just saying..who is working out with Ollie?
GM is not unemployed you are correct good for him. But no matter employed or unemployed he's a rat. No other way around that don't care if it was injustice to KO but in total to UConn too. Rat period!
Probably some of both. Chief thinks it was at root a parting shot, but GM lacked the long game strategic thinking to understand how it reflects on him or his career.Agree that this is the big issue with his testimony. Not sure if it was a parting shot at KO or if he was too unsophisticated to avoid that answer.

The facts are that a big that worked with GM trusts him enough to go back to him but an internet poster thinks that Brimah doesn’t know what’s best for his career. Keep boneyarding. GM will get a coaching job before Ollie gets another gig. Oh wait... GM isn’t unemployed now.
Seriously. Does that even cover alimony?$190,000 annually is not going to support KO’s lifestyle.
Not Stephanie's.Seriously. Does that even cover alimony?
Uh what about smearing your HOF mentor and the guy who got you your coaching gig in the media? Maybe you want to rethink that whole "he's not a rat" thing. Just saying.KO. He’s not perfect but he’s not a rat.
Not Stephanie's.
Stephanie Ollie, 40, who filed for the divorce from her husband nine months ago, will receive $33,200 per month in alimony for seven years and $1,800 in child support. The couple has a 14-year-old-daughter and a 19-year-old son.
The agreement also provides that while Kevin Ollie will retain an undisclosed number of separate and joint financial accounts, Stephanie Ollie, a nurse, will receive $2.5 million in compensation to be paid in four installments over the next 18 months and $2,000 from Bank of America checking and savings account. She will also receive an additional $350,000 lump sum alimony/property distribution award to be paid over a 42-month period, the agreement states. In exchange for waiving claims to her husband's current assets or potential income, according to the agreement, she will also receive another $240,000 by May 15, 2019.
UConn Coach Kevin Ollie And Wife Finalize Divorce Settlement
So again I ask. Why exactly Glen Miller fires?KO. He’s not perfect but he’s not a rat.
I meant why was he fired? So again I ask. Why exactly Glen Miller fires?
Good question. IIRC KO felt like he needed more recruiting help.I meant why was he fired?
Valid point.Uh what about smearing your HOF mentor and the guy who got you your coaching gig in the media? Maybe you want to rethink that whole "he's not a rat" thing. Just saying.
Except that, Ollie was employed to the tune of $2.8M / yr for almost 3 years after the settlement which means the $2M has likely been paid and there's another $2M to go roughly mostly in alimony. Alimony which will likely now be reduced to reflect current / future income.
The idea that's he's broke and spent all his money on oysters is unfounded.

I meant why was GM fired? Wasn’t he one year away from being a 20 year state employee and the pension that goes along with it?Valid point.
Interesting set of values you have there Chef...KO burns everything in his sight in pursuit of $. He dumps and drags JC into this and uses him as exhibit A in spite of the fact that, if not for JC, he wouldn’t BE a coach.KO. He’s not perfect but he’s not a rat.

GM tells the truth (even if it’s just his truth) to the NCAA. Not to mention how KO dismissed his loyalty to UConn hoops by firing him without any notice/consideration.
But you go Chef.
Very popular thread? LOL!!!
I also posted in it. Something about lifting your "gag order" because you had a tantrum. I remember it. Just found it funny that you referred to it as very popular. Here it is dated 2/28/2019. So you are two months late to the party. 27 Likes on the opening post and 165 responses prior to being locked. For those who claim somehow that I am defending KO - read this post. Madmansucks, I hope this coaches you up as much as is realistically possible. This is how it’s done.

KO vs UConn
Chief keeps it real! KO, you became a poor coach and even worse at program management, as whatever issues or behaviors you were dealing with in your personal life seemed to overwhelm everything else. Generally, Chief and others have respected your personal privacy but you apparently don’t have...the-boneyard.com
