My concern is how do we expect to grow the fan base if more and more fans are going to be priced out of attending the games. Just because we live in Fairfield county doesn’t mean we are all wealthy. Most of us are struggling to make ends meat.
The high ticket prices I feel are not only doing little or nothing to grow our fan base, but they may also be alienating and turning away existing fans. How do we expect to attract younger fans or grow the game if they can't afford to attend? $15.00 for parking and $41.00 a ticket will keep too many young families at home.
I have many friends that used to attend several Yankee games every year but can now only afford to go to one or two each season. And we're now asking fans to do a similar thing for our UCONN woman. I guess that’s the high price of success.
But my fear is if the attendance keeps going down, when or will anyone do anything to stop it?
Let’s make the games reasonable.
