My friend got this from them on the phone, as well: ticket prices, $199, $99, $39, $29 & $19
December 28th versus E. Washington. Check out this photo. That Webster Bank Arena sure seems like a classy operation.

I really wonder if they ever look at the prices anywhere else in the country sometimes.
Is this really that out of line?
199's are courtsides, most likely.
99's below the hockey boards on sides.
39 and below are everything else.
There are no bad seats in the place, so $39, $29 or $19 would be far from rip-offs imo. Especially when compared with around 50% of the seats at the XL Center.
Considering this game is for outreach purposes, they could have left a few bucks on the table, IMO. Those are U-Game prices.
As Elsberry suggests, initial execution may have left something to be desired. However, it's a start with plenty of upside opportunity to build relationships with kids, alumni, media, and Gold Coast rollers alike. http://www.ctpost.com/uconn/article/Chris-ElsberryIt called "outreach." And its a good idea. In fact, it should have been done a long time ago.
UConn basketball is going to the fans rather than having the fans come to them. I would love to see the team hold open practices/scrimmages in other parts of the state as part of their practice schedule. Let kids who have no chance of making the trip to Storrs see the Huskies up close and personal. Hold it at a high school with a large gym. Have an autograph session and combine it with a coaches clinic.
UConn's athletic department can use someone who is able to step outside the office door or out of the luxury box and walk amongst the common folk for awhile.

they sent an email out on Friday to Donors and season ticket holders that they would be sending out info on Tuesday morning regarding access to the presale for Tuesday morning.
When a ship has been sinking for 20yrs+ but is somehow still in-place and afloat I don't think anything other than an atomic* bomb landing on top will make a difference.A shot across the bow of Civic Center mgmt to get off their arses and upgrade facilities.
UConn has Gampel, Webster and MSG/Barclay's/Boston for big non-conference games.
