Brian Kelly has done an excellent job at every place he has coached. Notre Dame finally got it right.

Yup. This is standard protocal if you want a raise. ND can afford to double his salary and pay more than what the NFL would.

No, but a lot of them have more money. An NFL team is pretty much limited by the war chest of one rich guy. Colleges, especially ND, can draw on the resources of hundreds of rich guys

Exactly. If Kelly stays they'll be a BCS bowl level team for as long as he's there. If he leaves there's probably at least a 50/50 chance they'll go back to mediocrity where I'd prefer they be.

I doubt he goes. Have to take the interview so you don't burn bridges. Unless Philly is his "dream job" this is just a courtesy call. He's staying with a solid recruiting class in tow.

Just as everyone suspected., He is returning to Notre Dame, and will receive more money.

Kelly has a great thing going at ND. Just played for the National Championship and has a great recruiting class coming in. He also has zero NFL experience.
