Think Mullins just starts if Nowell is starting.
I didn’t wanna plug any frosh into the starting lineup yet but any of them could end up starting

I can’t see any of them starting except Mullins. I also don’t think Hurley takes a transfer unless someone leaves in addition to the four that are expected.

Nowell/Mahaney
Ball/Adams
Mullins/Ross/Furphy
Stewart/Abraham
Reed/Reibe/Singare

This lineup is desperate for a proven PG.

to your second point- we need a transfer PG unless nowell starts playing 15-20mpg proving he can take the reins. it's the most important position cant leave it to chance. mahaney is also not a PG so idk why you have him as the backup instead of adams.

to your first point- adams is our highest rated recruit. i could see reibe starting over stew. and some scouts think furphy is a one and done which none of mullins/adams/reibe are expected to be.

Every time I watch BM's highlights, I think he doesn't look athletic and then he throws down a 360 dunk. Surprisingly athletic.

Yeah I hope we aren't going into next season with Mahaney as the backup option at PG.

Can’t wait to see him play. His opponents were less than great in
that game?

It’s all AAU and prep schools these days. Mullins plays for Indiana Elite for AAU and dominates. His performance in high school games is less relevant for our purposes, but he dominates there too.

This kid had offers from everyone: UNC, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Kent State . . .

Then why wouldn't people hate Hass, he gets into people more than anyone on our team. He's the definition of a pesky and physical defender. Andre Jackson would get in opposing players faces and get taunting techs. Mullins is a year away from even playing here and people are going to hate him? Why?
Hass is simply not quite as good as Cam was imo. Not as polarizing because he’s not as good. Hass flexing also isn’t quite as demonstrative as Cam throwing wild haymakers in the air. I never said anything about Mullins.

Cam Spencer and to some extent Andre stand alone in this regard (and both for sure drew their share of hate from opposing fans for their antics). Hass is a pesky defender but not particularly demonstrative. Cam and Andre were both world class trash talkers and very demonstrative.

Haven’t seen anything from Liam or Braylon to think they’ll fall into the same boat. I mean I can’t imagine anyone hates Steven Ashworth…

And the dude can play D

I think defense will be the biggest adjustment for him. Playing in a second or third-tier AAU circuit and a very low HS league, he hasn't really had much opportunity to guard anyone of note. His high school plays a 1-2-2 zone IIRC and just throws Mullins at the top to make plays with length. Not a lot of relevance to what he'll be doing in Storrs.

With his athleticism and size, I doubt it's a concern for long. But I would expect and adjustment period just like all of our freshman have.

Why? Cam is one of the most likable players I can ever remember in college basketball. McNeeley is awesome and Hurley has never talked about a recruit the way he talks about Mullins.

Gotta be sarcasm, right? Cam was despised but other teams and I get it, I would've disliked him too if he didn't play for us. He was always chirping, had that toolish grin, AND he killed you time and time again. Someone mentioned that Andre and Hassan do the first two, but not really the third.
