Bracketology - Week of Feb 10

Based on this analysis I'm going to be disappointed and Molly will be dancing at the Wnit or Wbit if the Devils aren't able to pull off the win in Ames. Oy

This will be a shame especially if ASU finishes above the Utes in the final B12 standings.

Wonder if there's any scenario in which ASU and Utah play in the B12 tournament and ASU picks up a third victory over the Utes....lol
Keep winning and it won't matter. The committee won't have a chance to screw your team out of a bid.

FWIW, I don't think Utah is a shoo-in to get a bid (their Wins Above Bubble (+0.27), for example, is much lower than Arizona State's (+2.2, which is pretty good for a bubble team). But if they win out (which would include a road win over another bubble team--Colorado), they probably will get one.

BYU may decide this as both Utah and ASU will need to get by Gibbs and company

Turning the focus to the ACC a bit, I looked at Louisville's and Duke's remaining schedules and saw that the following teams will have to play one or the other:

Clemson (bubble team): Duke
NC State (tournament team): @ Duke
North Carolina (tournament team): Duke
Notre Dame (tournament team): @ Louisville
Virginia (bubble team): @ Louisville

We can look at this one of two ways. On the one hand, it's a great opportunity for these teams to either play their way into the tournament or move up a seed line. On the other hand, you REALLY don't want to be playing against the league's two best teams when you're fighting to either get into the tourney or looking to avoid the dreaded 8/9 seeds.
