Virtually no competition for Baylor (ok) and Stanford (why?).
I actually think Miami's guard play could give Baylor fits, a la St. John's.I haven't seen enough of Miami to compare them to Tennessee, but Creme must think that Miami is the lowest number two seed to put them in Baylor's bracket.
That would be womano a womano!I actually think Miami's guard play could give Baylor fits, a la St. John's.
Games that sound intriguing:
UConn vs Kentucky
Stanford vs Green Bay
Tennessee vs Maryland
ND vs Delaware
Ohio State vs DePaul - Sammy vs Brittany Hrynko, two balls of fire mano a mano
Interesting he has TN as still a #2 - I think they would rather drop a line and be a top #3 with a better chance of staying east - I guess he really likes their SOS/RPI, but sooner or later they have to win some of those games, not just play them.
I wouldn't mind this bracket - no one we played before and might fear is likely to win through to us. Realistically - with the way this year is playing out, none of the #1s are on paper going to be too challenged. The #2 all have flaws, though of course anyone of them could get hot at the right moment, including TN. I always think back to that 10 loss championship they won. And whoever gets Duke is not going to be happy as they do seem to be the best #2.
Creme has been holding Tenn up for the entire season. I am sure he has RPI SOS etal to justify that as losses have mounted to 6. He may have had them as a#1 at the beginning? The 3 matchups would be interesting. ND and Duke very early in season 2 pt win for ND,but ND imho is the stronger team and legit title contender at this time! Read other thread that was on the top 4 earlier today and seems to have gotten lost.a tennessee/maryland matchup would be interesting. as would Notre Dame and Duke as well as UCONN-Kentucky. i think Stanford is the weakest 1 seeds and at this point tennessee should be a 3 seed but i'm not sure i see tennessee getting past Maryland regardless.

And they also faced in the regional finals a UConn team that was reeling from the first major injury the program had had to deal with when Shea went down right before the tourney. Not saying it wasn't an impressive run by the LVs that year, but a lot of things went right for them at the end to make it possible.IMO, there is no similarity between the current LV's and that 1997 team, which featured someone that nobody could guard (Holdsclaw) and a very good PG who was returning from injury after missing most of that season (Kelly Jolly).
Right, and the LV's luck continued when ODU beat Stanford, who was the best team remaining, and would have been a much tougher opponent in the final than an overconfident ODU team was.And they also faced in the regional finals a UConn team that was reeling from the first major injury the program had had to deal with when Shea went down right before the tourney. Duke cannot go to Chapel Hill because UNC is there. Charlie addressed this in either one of his blogs or twitter. The same rule would apply to Vandy and the Lady Vols.
So, in which bracket would you rather have the committee place RU?Please don't put Rutgers in the same bracket as Baylor.

I think there are going to be about 40 teams in Stanford's bracket, if fans get their way.One that doesn't have ND, UConn, or Baylor.
