Looks like Casey will be transferring to an FCS after this season....Lagow saw the writing on the wall.
Boyle is gonna be a stud! Can't wait to see him behind center. 6'4" 212...he's s stud on paper...Taylor too! I can wait till next year tho!!

Does anyone else have a feeling that this might be deja vu all over again? This is sort of reminiscent of Dan Orlovsky in 2002. the starter wasn't getting it done and Edsall was insistent that he wasn't going to play a true frosh...until I think aroun dthe 3rd or 4th game, Eastern Michigan I think, when he brought him in for a few series. then a few more the next week then I think he started the rest of the season. When asked to explain why he brought the kid in after insisting since pre-season he would redshirt, Edsall gave a classic response. "I changed my mind."

I have a hard time believing Boyle, as a true frosh, is ready for the likes of Maryland and Michigan. If Whitmer goes down, I would only expect it to get uglier. Tough to expect young guys getting their first touches making reads against those types of defenses.

My guess is Buffalo, maybe a series or two against Michigan or Maryland. Then its Boyle's team from then on.

We'll see Boyle before the season ends unless Whitmer suddenly turns into Johnny Unitas...

Based on what I'm seeing from comments during on-going presser - he's clearly #2.

Pasqualoni on Boyle: "Gives us a taller guy, strong arm, Casey doing well, attitude great, felt wanted to give Tim every opp to come along

Is it possible he goes to Casey if Whitmer needs a play or series, but if it's longer he goes to Tim? If he is going burn his shirt, then do it now and let's see what we have in Tim. He wasted joe Williams last year, though joe has no one to blame for this year.

This is a fact I wouldn't post it if it wasn't the truth.

Let the best players play whether they are true freshman or fifth year seniors.
Credit when due, crow being washed down with a Long Trail.......VERY surprised about going to the pocket passer before developing a pocket....The kid has the height and the arm, but does he have the feet to run for his life....Five sacks aginst a D-2 school, I can't imagine what the two M's are going to bring......
I hope he stays in the zone for Georges blocking scheme......

I agree. It is highly unlikely that a true freshman would perform better than Whitmer who is a solid passer. I only expect to see Boyle if Whitmer goes down. Boyle on the field with a healthy Whitmer on the sideline just means P is grasping at straws.

He has good feet but of course that is what I remember from his high school days at Xavier. I truly believe he is the best quarterback at UCONN and should play
