Bowl Rumors

It’s cheaper for me to fly back to CT and down to Myrtle, than it is for me to fly from FL to Myrtle…

Ft. Lauderdale to Myrtle Beach:
Delta is the airline I fly -- cheapest is $698 R/T

Not many seats left especially on the return flight on any airlines I checked. All the snowbirds are heading this way. :( Actually, I've come to really dislike this time of year.
Look at Jet Blue to Raleigh. Sunday evening, Tuesday morning, non-stop under $300.

Game time is 2:30pm on ESPN

Can also fly Avelo out of Wilmington NC on different days thay they fly out of Myrtle, under 2 hour ride.

Acknowledging many CT natives have relocated to the Carolinas and UConn fans have clamored for football success, massive economic droves of WV emigres to the Carolinas, WV being about 300 miles closer and an easier drive than from CT, it won’t be too surprising for the Thundering Herd to have a home field advantage.

Challenge, and an opportunity for the Huskies to step up against a recently more successful program for a win and winning record. With a solid victory, may UConn stuff Marshall fans’ traps.

My brother backed out so I'm staying put in South Florida. Really wanted Boca. :(
I wanted Boca or one of the Florida bowls as well. 2 to 3 hours away from Cocoa area. But Myrtle Beach is only 7 hours away so I'll drive since I can probably do the round trip drive for $100 rather than $300 RT flight each for 2. My brother may fly down from CT.

35 minute drive for me. Myrtle Beach is 10 hours away by car. :( Have fun!

Wilmington is an easy airport from what I remember. My car was like right outside the door. 2 hours not bad either.

It would be 10 minutes from our Boca location but work schedule and the fact I'm headed down right after New Years makes it impractical anyway. Maybe next year when work won't be an issue we get Boca or even Orlando. Tampa is kind of a crummy drive from Boca but I did it for our USF game. Good luck to everyone headed to Myrtle Beach. The Players and Coaches deserve this.

My maps showing about a 90 minute drive from Wilmington so 2 hours might be the rush hours.

For anyone in the Central Florida area, I saw some non-stop fares on Cheapoair from Orlando to Myrtle for around $90 round trip on Spirit. Leave Monday at 7:30 arrive in Myrtle at 8:57. Return on Tuesday at 11:22 and land in Orlando at 12:57
