Penn State needs to step up and it would put us in even if New Mexico State is able to schedule and won the last game.
From what I’m seeing, looks like NMSU will be scheduling an FCS opponent per their local news. Which would mean UConn would come in line before them.

Other bowl-eligibility games in progress:

Southern Miss (5-6) 10, LA Monroe (4-7) 10, early 4th

Louisiana (5-6) 27, Texas St (4-7) 13, early 3rd

Penn State up 12 now with four minutes left... if they hold on, based on Brett McMurphy's post, that means it's down to five teams alive to get bowl-eligible with five open spots, so UConn is assured of a spot! Finish them off, Nittany Lions!
If all 5 of those teams won, UConn could be left out. Would still need one of Southern Miss, Georgia southern, Lousiana Lafayette, Vandy, Miami, or Buffalo to lose.

I have seen that also, but have to factor in that they would be smart enough to schedule someone that would count in the math and have enough teams lose to say clinch for sure.

Both my kids go to Rice so I had to silently cheer for the Rice loss. UConn dodged some bowl eligibility bullets today with Rice, UTEP, FAU and other coming close. Seems like it has worked out and I am looking forward to seeing where the Huskies play

Pretty sure one more 5 win team has to lose and then we clinch. Think people are jumping the gun lol but hope I’m wrong
Although the App st/GSO game has me confused so maybe we have clinched since only 1 will be eligible. App st is being counted as eligible but probably isn’t yet so we may be good
