Boston Thursday Roll Call

Yeah way more UConn fans here as expected. Not crazy like MSG though. Got loud a few times. There does seem to be a decent amount of empty seats.

How’d we sound? My fiancé was watching on tv (we’ll be there Saturday) and said it sounded good. There were definitely some good chants going in the first quarter of the game lol then things weren’t really in contention

When we needed to be loud, it was loud. Got loud when we needed a stop when they cut it to 3 in first half. And every point of the run from there.

I just took a look at the vivid seats app to look at pricing for Saturday and it said noon.
There's no way in hell the game starts at noon, right?

Look. People need to grow up. I’m am respectful as it comes. But if you are.a UConn fan and do not have a disability or child who cannot see, please for the love of god, do not ask another UConn fan to sit down when Donovan is asking us to stand up.

Pathetic.

No that was the placeholder for tonight too

Props to the people who organized the pre-game at Big Night Live. Hundreds of UConn fans. President spoke as well as Dave. UConn highlights on the screens. Pretty good food as well. Thanks!
Yes! Awesome event great way to start the night.

Our crowd was very good tonight, but so was Illinois and I would argue they were louder. Need to fill TD Garden Saturday

I don't know if they were louder but Illinois had the 2nd most fans in the Garden by far tonight.

For those who went to pre-game spots, where were the UConn fans? How was it? Nightshift? Other spots? Did anybody go to the Alumni event?

AD and the President were there and spoke? So this must have been set up by the University? How was this not posted here?

Any word on tomorrow?

The event was fantastic and well worth the $25! Someone posted the link for Saturday’s event earlier in this thread. It’s open to ALL fans, not just alumni. All you have to do is register & pay. Highly recommend going if you’ll be in Boston.

See outlaw's post above for the UConn reception on Saturday. It was a perfect spot to go to on a rainy night as it is basically connected to the Garden.

I posted it here a few days ago, including the link to sign up. Also, now that you're local you should sign up to get notifications of these from the Boston chapter of the alumni association.

I got into the area a little later than I wanted to (1.5 hr before game which is obviously peak pregame time), but it was just all packed lol. Between S16, opening day, and BU hockey. There was a private event at night shift that took up half the space. TITS was full. Ended up snagging the last 2 bar seats at Ducali.

Illinois definitely had the second most fans there. And, they were wearing orange so it looked like a group of Cuse fans. I think the Illinois fans sounded loud to us because they were on the opposite side of the Garden from the UConn sections so the sound projected right at us.

I got my 2 tickets in balcony section for 230 each, of course charging fees brought it to 631. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity don’t have to worry about travel or hotel, or parking.

Gotta go out and look for a white UConn shirt, what would be the best place place in Boston area to find one, preferably amongst route 1 in Saugus, not driving into Boston.

Sullivan's b4 and after. Mix of fans. It's a spit hole but we fit right in.

Buffet stations. Sliders(both chicken and beef) with the fixings, fries, various types of mac & cheese, and caesar salad at one station. Pizzas on the other.
Interesting. My fiancé and I have been dying to try the new food hall right there at the stadium so will probably try that and go to Greatest bar. The food hall has a pizza stand called “Apizza” if any of you want to try and compare (I will be)
