Borges says Bouk is gone

You're missing the point, they weren't projected lottery picks when they chose to come back like you're "advising" Bouknight to do. Their situations aren't remotely comparable
Projected by the people who actually do the drafting? When one starts valuing projections over actuals, it never puts one in a good place.

Yes, the people who are doing the mock drafts talk to NBA teams and scouts to get their evaluations. Just like James and Dan Hurley have done all season to get to this point

It will be pretty interesting to see how each organization views that 2-7 spot of SG’s goes. All solid players with 1/2 plus skills but question marks too. Ex:Moses shoots it, but not a plus athlete. Bouk + athlete & doesn’t shoot the 3 significantly well

I don't know what people are seeing in Moody to put him above Bouknight or Keon Johnson. He seems like the most overrated guy in the lottery right now. I'd take him in the 9-12 range, depending on who's left, but man I just don't get the hype to have him that high.

I don't think he has the body or athleticism to be an NBA SG. He's more of a SF. He's a bit slow, not a big leaper, struggles to finish in the lane. All he really does well is shoot over the top of shorter DI guards.

He did - he played great that game. What I’m saying is once people knew how to defend him, he struggled.

More like when teams realized they didn't have to worry about any other scorer on our team and sold out to stop Bouknight he struggled.

The straight disrespect Maryland and Creighton showed the rest of our team was remarkable. It's tough to score when teams are sending early help, and even an additional third help defender early on, and leaving all four help defenders with a foot in the paint.

It's so easy for people to tell Bouk he should turn down millions of dollars because they want to see him in a UConn jersey for one more year. Every single poster on this board would leap at the opportunity to grab millions of dollars.

Company: "Come join our company, you'll have a salary of ~$3,000,000 and access to all the tools you need for success. We're really excited to bring you on."

Certain BY posters: "Nah dog, I'll stay in my unpaid internship."
my unpaid internship that will better prepare you for the 3 million dollar job you’re already being offered

Not ready. Work hard. Come back and prove you’re elite, and reap the rewards. Take the short money and fail to develop in a super competitive business environment and it doesn’t end well.

You realize it's easier to develop in the NBA......you have the opportunity to focus on only basketball, no restrictions - better coaching and facilities.

Plus you get paid to do it.

.-.
Let's hope he/Dan Hurley got good insights from GM's and he's making the right decision for his long term future.

I can never understand that narrative. A team invests heavily in scouting and they just share their views on a player to various mock drafts so everyone will know who they want, helping their competition decide to trade up or not to take that player.

Generally speaking, Chief, when a scout gives his thoughts on a prospect to a publication those thoughts are published without attribution. The idea that teams are reading The Ringer to figure out who some other team wants to draft so they can draft them is ridiculous.
