Similarly, the U.S. women's hockey team, which has won multiple medals in the Olympics, scrimmaged the boys team from Choate a few years ago. The boys were all over 6' tall and each had 50 pounds, easy, over their female counterparts. I believe the final score was 6-0 Choate. It says absolutely nothing about the US women's hockey team that they lost to bigger, faster men.
I've said numerous times that men's basketball and women's basketball are similar, but not the same, sports like baseball and softball. Very similar games with similar rules but they are completely different. Why does one have to be "better" than the other? I enjoy both the UConn women and the men but understand they are playing different games.
