Glad we have Ollie...

The angle of the football player in the pic behind him combined with Beoheim "assuming the position," as it were...

Who here has photoshop skills?

At his age, sleeping like that, his neck may be stuck in that position for a while.

Bernie Fine's main job was to nudge him awake.

Think Bernie would of took this oppertunity to do a little " recuriting " him self.

I wonder if his excuse will be as phony as Mike Francesa's when he fell asleep on air talking to Sweeny Murti?

Lol, great thread.

Conversation overheard between recruits: "Nah I'm not worried about playing one boring defense for 4 years. Sure the 2-3 is the standard middle school defense but Coach Beoheim is a high energy guy and his version is exciting. Isn't that right coach? Coach? Coach?"

Jim is almost my age and I have been known to nap on occasion.
However I retired in 2007.
My beef with the media is JC's health and retirement stories were all over the news his last 4 or 5 years. They were used against us in recruiting. JB seems to get s pass. From an energy standpoint JC. could run circles around JB. As a matter of fact I could walk or swim (I don't do run) circles around him.

People like book covers more than the pages! JC has a lot of wonderful traits but endearing himself with the press wasn't one of them.

To go off on this tangent, my favorite part of Francesa's explanation was that he ran through a list of reasons why he was tired (long day at work the day before, had a cold, kids were sick and kept him up, he ate a whole turkey and chugged a gallon of warm milk before the show, etc) but then still claimed he didn't fall asleep.

That's not recent.....that's him coaching in the round of 64 vs Vermont a few years ago!!

That was him after he fainted when TJ Sorrentine hit that huge dagger against ExCuse! That game was Awesome!!!

Wow, and I thought his underarms were wet from perspiration.
