This will be one of the enduring iconic images of UConn basketball....

That shot is so perfectly composed and framed, you'd swear it was from a movie, and was the result of hours of takes until the director felt it was just perfect. When viewed in context, doubly so. Hate to use a ND metaphor, but it was the culmination of a Rudyesque story line, and I'm waiting for the credits to start rolling over it.

The best memory of Ryan will be his defense in the NCAA tournament last year - specifically, when he wore Scott Wilbekin down to a cramped-up husk.

I won't remember Ryan by his play, I just remember a sound bite whenever I think of him:

"Tapped into the hands of Boatright!!!".

Sometimes I listen to it over and over in the car, blasting it on the stereo, it feels like I'm there. Sometimes I watch it for inspiration. I love to find Warde in the background jumping out of his chair. Whenever you wonder if Warde gives a damn about UCONN, watch that clip.
