Why is it confusing? SC is the state of South Carolina abbreviation. It makes since to put that instead of writing South Carolina out. If you mail a letter and put "SC" on it, I doubt it will end up in Southern California.

Why is it confusing? Southern California has been called SC for at least two decades (College Football). I have never heard South Carolina being referred to as "SC" until about 3-4 years ago. Now if folks from South Carolina call it that, that is all well and good. To me, the OG of the SC is that team from Southern California. Now we use to call the WBB program of SC the Women of Troy. I guess it is okay to call them that since there was a recent documentary about the program. For a while, folks were saying that it was inappropriate to call them "Women of Troy". SMH

So maybe they should stick with one name then. I have seen as of late USC is usually referred to the team out west and SC is used for South Carolina with speaking. I don't see how you give Southern Cal both monikers nationally.

Type SC in your browser and see what comes up. Southern California "SoCal" and "USC" These are the monikers that they mostly are known for. Apologies for digressing.

I'm middle aged abd this topic is tedious to me. I can't think how exhausted I will be with this topic when I'm 70.
