From the Coaches’ Road Show in Glastonbury tonight:
He destroyed more than the logoWarde destroyed the logo for a resume line.
Bring the whole thing back

True, but UConn's had helmets with both white and national flag blue backgrounds, e.g., Corey Edsall's tweet picture and more recent Jonathan Husky eyes helmets. These things are usually decals I thought? That's why you see helmets look that way at the senior bowl.
if anything we should try to collaborate with USF and Cincy to do like big east jersey throw back games this year and in the future. They could wear their old unis from the big east (if they have changed) and we will slap the C on the field for the home game against cincy!!! While also wearing our C helmets. I wish they would just bring the whole Uni back...
The NFL mandates one helmet. A college player may have multiple helmets. There was an article a while back that says players will "break in" a helmet during practice leading up to a game. The game helmet is then painted and decalled a couple days before, and the player uses a different one for walkthrough and whatnot. UConn has Blue, white, and chrome helmets all with the Husky Dog. My guess is the husky dog blues are replaced with Block C blue(s) (Say it fastCurious question about helmets, do the players have two helmets, one the Block C and the second the normal helmet? Which helmet do they practice in? I can't believe you would wear a new helmet for the first time in a game.
).Leather helmets might reduce concussions, but modern players don't know how not to lead with their head.Too bad! The block C is unimaginative, boring, doesn't sell the image. Might as well go back to leather helmets if we are going to recreate the 1930s. Yuuuuuck!
Helmet stickers!!!!I'd like to combine the block C with some interesting undertones and background graphics to jazz it back up. Regardless, the block C does say something; power, toughness, tradition that the jonathan helmet did not convey. We can combine the Block C with some wild stuff and be the best of both worlds.
Not in for a spitting match here geordi, just a very difference of opinion. The block C was the only tad of tradition we had going as a D1 program. Recognizable any where in the country just like our smiling Husky. Warde sold out to Nike trying to make an apparel splash which in my opinion was a rookie AD mistake.Too bad! The block C is unimaginative, boring, doesn't sell the image. Might as well go back to leather helmets if we are going to recreate the 1930s. Yuuuuuck!

In fairness, I think the idea was for UConn to move to one logo across all sports programs to have a more consistent and uniform brand. Michigan doesn’t have that problem.Spoke to him personally and asked as a Michigan alum if he would want to get rid of their block M. The only question he skirted in our chat. Now he has the chance and nothing on any changes at Michigan yet.
