I've said this a million times on here, but the time for all this was when we were winning national titles and playing football in a bcs conference. Now I really wonder if its going to matter when your going to be selling a second tier conference in both majkr sports. The previous powers that be really droppedn the ball marketing uconn athletics.
Yes, as been stated countless times by many on the board (and quietly among the new university leadership) we (JH specifically with an assist going to the lame duck status of our president during those years) let an enormous opportunity go down the drain due to inaction when the iron was as hot as we could have realistically hoped. That said, the only reasonable alternative to attempting this struggle (building our brand to a point where a major conference wants us)would be to retract and hope to become what Villanova is. Personally I would rather try what we are trying, even if it never gets us anywhere than throw in the towel.
