Where are we at now going into Saturday? USF can be a very tuff team. Theyve beaten some top teams and gave ND a real scare. Our game Saturday is at noon and then a quick flight to ND for Monday. Not alot of time to think and definitely a tuff test for the 3 day weekend .
I thought by now we would be healthly and almost 100%. We are not and clearly after listening to the post game show, Morgan and Caroline are still hurting. Brias playing is good but her shot is inconsistent. Breanna has looked very aggressive the past two games and we need her to play like that Saturday and Monday. KML and Stef are playing like machines and improving every game.
Still we need our guards to be a threat from the outside to open up the middle for our bigs. Bria Kelly MoJeff and Caroline have to knock down shots. Kelly has done that more the the others, but to keep defenses honest we need more consistencey from all our guards. If our guards are more consistent from the outside I can say confidently I dont think we can be beaten.
Can we win with the way were shooting the ball the past couple of games? Yes and as long at Breanna continues to play like she has I think it will make it a little easier. Her presence underneath with Stef is intimadating and a force. One of our biggest advantages is our height and athleticism underneath. Now that Breanna is back on track I think we see a different team. As her confidence builds she will be a monster underneath. . Count on it.
