The Big East has officially scored its own offices in the Big Apple.
The conference, which oversees play for 11 member schools’ sport programs and is led by Commissioner Val Ackerman, signed a 10-year lease at The Durst Organization’s 655 Third Ave. at the southeast corner of East 42nd Street.

The conference headquarters was previously located in Providence, RI, but officials wanted to be closer to the advertising and media industries.

Sure, NOW they move out of Providence! Long overdue.

The Big East hasn't been in Providence since the split.

The AAC is in the Big East offices in Providence.

Did not realize that, Fishy. Thanks. I guess the only conference offices I've paid attention to in the past few years is the B1G office locations.

And that, my friends, is really sad.

I guess they are just waiting for the right space to open up in Houston or Orlando before they move.

They're already burning through cash. Aresco gets $1m + a year. No reason to abandon a cheap Providence lease for a big city--not yet anyway.

I honestly don't care where AAC will set up their office. Since Aresco lives in CT, I expect he will set something up nearby. Memphis seems like a good location since it is somewhat center of the AAC, but who wants to live in Memphis?

Where Aresco gets his mail is the 1,094,238th biggest issue facing the conference.

Wow that is it, and to think I was going to start a completely new board for this topic....guess I'll wait til it moves at least a little higher up in the pecking order!
