Akinjo would’ve fit nicely into one of those 2 wide open schollies we have this season.

Although Gaffney probably wouldn’t have liked that.

Who's the NBA talent on NOVA you need to double team?
You don't need to double anyone, everything they do revolves around getting a good look from three. They pump fake and swing it around constantly. When they get it in the middle inside the foul line it's not to score near the hoop, it's to kick it out for a three..

Justin Moore is their best player, Samuels is good, and Gillespie makes them go. They have nothing down low other than undersized Dixon and he's average at best. The whole thing about beating them is staying disciplined. UConn is a lot more athletic and bigger than them, the only question is do we stay disciplined.

Nova is better than they look today, Baylor is the best team in the country and they've rattled Nova since the start but this Nova team is nothing like past Nova teams in terms of talent.

If UConn had this same performance, this board would be on full meltdown mode. Yet, Nova is legit. With 27 at the under 4. The BE is WIDE open

no on said nova sucks. They aren't the 6th best team.
Probably not far from that, we would probably be around #5 if we were healthy. It's a really weak year around college basketball.

The BE will be a dog fight this season. But we are going to be incredibly difficult to beat at home. I don’t think teams are necessarily seasoned for these conference road environments yet. Teams with elite defenses will be hard to beat at home.

This game leaves a nice lil brown stain on the BE success in non-conference play so far.

I got blasted the other day for saying Nova has spit the bit and not represented the conference well in high-profile OOC games.

Well...
You got blasted because outside of this year, you’re wrong! Lol

This is what it must've been like for non-UConn fans to watch the 2011 NC vs Butler.

Didn't we lose by 33 to Louisville in 2014. Of course, we also beat #1 that year.

Why is anyone fouling at this point. Nova fouls a guy on a wide open dunk with less than a minute and down 20

Nova gets smoked on national TV, all is good.

If lets say Syracuse was in our league and they are playing a highly ranked OOC team then do I root for Syracuse? Its just hard for me to imagine myself ever rooting for Syracuse...any loss by that team just brightens up my day seriously...

We should have stayed in the 10th rated league like you wanted us to. We'd be in a position Dec 12th of having to win the league tournament just to assure a NCAA birth.
What a strange take. You a big Nova fan chum?

5-4 in the BE-B12 Challenge.

Besides, Nova held Baylor to its 2nd lowest second half point total; only Bobby Hurley's Sun Devils shut down the Bears more.

And, Jay Wright has a solid catalog of his team's weaknesses in advance of Conference play.

But seriously, that was a more stifling beat down than the 2011 NC against Butler. I draw only limited conclusions about Villanova.

EDIT: Hat tip to @storrsroars for prior mention to 2011 while I was writing the above.

Granted there's recency bias in this comment, but I'm having a hard time recalling any team that defended the perimeter better than Baylor did today.
That plus they did everything else extremely well, they were dominate today

Are you trying to make a point here? Big East is at worst the third best basketball conference. Nova has won 2 of the last 5 national championships.
