If we get 7 million, keep the same TV exposure (all games on linear), and stay at 11 (or add Gonzaga), I will take that.
You can’t compare apples to apples there. Football is a different animal on a grander scale. The middle of pack p4 averages 50k . Even the crap teamsUConn home games get more people than UConn basketball. Even with less than 50% of the place filled.
Your position is stupid. People do care and hope the program improves so that they can justify getting invested again.
If you want to use the no one cares line. Let's use this one: No one cares (literally no one, not even in their own state) about UConn Football. No one goes to the games, no one watches the games. New England as a whole cares nothing for College Football. No one cares.
THAT is why we are where we are today.
I don't know. Maybe because other conferences would pay them money to join? Or they think they could make as much money without a conference? Neither of which seems to be the case
And when UConn wasn’t winning where we’re all the UConn BB fans?More people care about the Band "Goose" than UConn Football. Everyone has their hobbies. UConn Football fan is a fine hobby, far be it for me to judge someones hobbies. No problem there. There are definitely UConn Football fans. Just not very many. And 1/2 dont even make it into the game, the other half come in at 1/2 time.

No, they don't. Closer to 40k.You can’t compare apples to apples there. Football is a different animal on a grander scale. The middle of pack p4 averages 50k . Even the crap teams
Actually he's just trolling. August is best understood if you remember that virtually everything he posts is intended to generate responses for his own entertainment.I’m trying not fall into the trap of dissing one of our programs (Although there is no bigger waste in of resources than college soccer which is beyond useless in this era) we need all of them to do well.
Adub is seeing the world through a straw here.
Perhaps, but your point was about the number of people who care. Indisputably more people go to a Connecticut football game than a Connecticut basketball game. It was a silly point to me, but that doesn't mean you get to run away from it and "move the goal post", as it were. You can’t compare apples to apples there. I'm not. (though Im not averse to that) I believe I'm right. And you have been here long enough to know Im right when it comes to CR. You've been here as long or longer than me. We have had our kibitzing about CR over the years . What have I said different than I said 10 years ago?Actually he's just trolling. It’s not silly. Even at its reduced state football fans make a significant financial and otherwise investments. And more and more fans are returning.
We’ve got great basketball support too, but the opportunity in football is tremendous.
Also he’s just trolling and he needs to blow it out of his old ass.
Yeah, but the fact that you frequently come on the conference realignment board to talk about why our obsession with it is pointless seems like a troll to me. For what it's worth, I have very little objection to people trolling because that's like 90% of the Internet. I have some objection to people trolling in aptly, but that's not you.I'm not. Yeah it’s almost like football is important or something.
Your 50k number is bs.

If anyone expected anyone to attend football games in CT we shouldve built a 65000 seat house somewhere.

Shrugs, I don't care enough to actually go back and pull them out or count them, but I've seen you posting down here plenty of times. I have no idea where any of your posts "started" or even what that means. In all honesty, I don't care that much. I don't find you particularly offensive August. In even when I feel like your caring bits a little bit long, they are typically funny, or were originally.Frequently? I didnt touch this board even 10 times between 2012 and now. You realize anything I did touch was predominantly started on the mens hoop board and MOVED here?

See, now that doesn't seem like trolling at all...I dont consider the delusion of a portion of our fan base funny at all.
Yes. Let’s talk about what you consider to be mid range! LOL.
What a joke.
We cant draw 1/3 of Rutgirls. Let that sink in.
1-8 team in a State that is the only state in Northeast that actually has a semi- fertile recruiting ground. Who gets BIG dollars for last decade and goes 1-8 in the best conference in land and draws 50k. and you want to sell me on UConn Football success chances based on conference affiliation? If we keep trending up that will change. And you can already see that. UConn football has been less fun than a funeral up until last season going back to Year 1 of Pasqualoni.
Yes frequently. You’ve told us about the game you play and your long term burner account(s) on Syracusefan.com.

Well we did better than they did or at least just as good when we were in the same conference.
Facts.
Again, not the least bit like trolling ...We cant draw 1/3 of Rutgirls. Let that sink in.
