Who did he buy last year? The next time I hear Pitino b*tch and moan about NIL when this will be the second year in a row he legit bought a player off a conference rivals roster Im gonna scream
How quickly you forgetWho did he buy last year?
Nuheem UhleanWho did he buy last year?
You always have a ship/NIL for good player. And at $1 million do you need a scholarship? So we have no scholarships if Hass and AK return?
Naheim. Promises he never fulfilled and a better nil paydayWho did he buy last year?
We have 5 now. Hass and Alex have claim to 2. We have 3 open basicallySo we have no scholarships if Hass and AK return?
Eh pretty sure Nahiem was leaving anyway after the season.Naheim. Promises he never fulfilled and a better nil payday
JohnniesWatch these two.
This is one scenario where NIL/portal sucks: a hard-working, likable and successful coach struggling to keep talent at a Big East school due to $$$ reasons. Like, I want Sha to succeed at Seton Hall and turn them into a perennial top-25 team. This sucks and I honestly hate it.
Shaheen has been doing an amazing job and he’s losing his best player now only because Seton Hall can’t pay him. This shouldn’t be a thing and is absolutely terrible for coaches and the sport.
Richmond can’t shoot from outside so nba not likely in his future. Cant blame the guy for getting 7 figures this year. Most likely the biggest income year of his lifetime. Lets see what kind of roster he pulls together before we feel to sorry for him. This is one scenario where NIL/portal sucks: a hard-working, likable and successful coach struggling to keep talent at a Big East school due to $$$ reasons. That's the downer. Shaheen did a great job coaching this year. Seton Hall probably should've made the NCAAT and if they did I think they could've won at least 1 game, maybe 2 with a favorable draw. His team won a good NIT field, even if about 10 teams-plus declined invitations. They beat a good Indiana State team, who many thought, including myself, should have made the NCAAT. And Seton Hall beat them in what was essentially a road game as it was played at Butler's homecourt of Hinkle Fieldhouse which is only 70 miles away from Indiana State. This is one scenario where NIL/portal sucks: a hard-working, likable and successful coach struggling to keep talent at a Big East school due to $$$ reasons. Has Ashworth's status been confirmed?
Has 4 years of eligibility remaining. Redshirted last season
Getting a guy who was outside the top 100 and then redshirted is your sign that their NIL is not as bad as it seems?Really looks like SH NIL situation is not as bad as it seems. Fanta even mentioned they put a good offer out to Richmond but couldn't match what the top schools can. Do think they will be surprisingly decent with Holloway at the helm
The fact that they got Scotty Middleton and that Fanta reported they gave Kadary a good offer is my sign that their NIL is not as bad as it seemsGetting a guy who was outside the top 100 and then redshirted is your sign that their NIL is not as bad as it seems?
Middleton was a good pickup, but again, "reportedly giving a good offer" to a guy that was clearly worth more than they could offer isn't very convincing. If you've got a potential All-American and you can't get in the ballpark enough and he leaves, and then you lose your other 2 returning starters....The fact that they got Scotty Middleton and that Fanta reported they gave Kadary a good offer is my sign that their NIL is not as bad as it seems
He said he didn't want to get transfers last season, I guess he is sticking to it.In other news, Marquette is the only team I can think of that has neither gained nor lost a single player in the portal.
With Kolek to the NBA, if the season started today, all 12 of their scholarship players would be homegrown picks Shaka Smart added out of HS.
Interesting to see how that plays out for him. He could holler squad with 1-2 smart transfersHe said he didn't want to get transfers last season, I guess he is sticking to it.
Villanova’s second Big 5 transfer addition. Got a chance to watch Brickus live this past season when La Salle beat Fordham. Shared lead guard duties with Khalil Brantley.
Averaged 14p, 5a, 40 3P%, 86 FT% last season. A tough 5’11 205 guard who can play both on- an off-ball as I can see him playing well alongside Mark Armstrong.
Foolish, putting his team at disadvantageInteresting to see how that plays out for him. He could holler squad with 1-2 smart transfers
No way in hell nova going 0-fer in the Big 5 next season! If you can't beat them, get them to join you apparently.
