So with a Creighton loss, we are still locked in at the 3?
Yes I think so.

Mission accomplished. Please just avoid the damn peacock game.
Yes, but assuming Creighton wins their first game UConn has lost to all three teams on their side of the bracket. the Huskies have to be ready and not be too happy about the fortunate draw. They seem ready.I love how this sets up for us. Xavier and Johnnies on the other side of the bracket.
There is no one from an opposing BB fan base that sites out BE accolades as grounds for status. Any knocks are around our inconsistency making the tournament. We are seen as all or nothing.
Exactly. Villanova is not going to be a cake walk. Having said that, there is no guarantee Villanova defeats Seton Hall, seriously, Nova can lose to anyone.Yes, but assuming Creighton wins their first game UConn has lost to all three teams on their side of the bracket. the Huskies have to be ready and not be too happy about the fortunate draw. It's weird.I can’t wrap my head around not only caring about this but having it influence your fandom. I give an what some random Villanova fan I’m never going to meet thinks about anything?
I don’t live in a bubble. Do you enjoy recognition? I don’t care about other fanbases all that much. All I’m telling you is how a program is seen as successful depends 99% on the national tourney.I can’t wrap my head around not only caring about this but having it influence your fandom. It is an under-appreciated.fact.that.UConn makes the Big East tournament every single year!I don’t live in a bubble. Do you enjoy recognition? I don’t care about other fanbases all that much. All I’m telling you is how a program is seen as successful depends 99% on the national tourney.
Creighton is cruising... except for their three recent losses...one of which was a blowout to the fifth place teamCreighton had the blowout L to Xavier, but otherwise have been cruising except two close losses to UConn and SJU
Story of the BET this year is StJ, and it’s not even close. The BET is going to be really fun.
St. John’s is obviously the team to beat. Dominant throughout BE play
Creighton had the blowout L to Xavier, but otherwise have been cruising except two close losses to UConn and SJU
UConn had the horrible loss to Seton Hall, but won 5 of their last 6 after that and are riding a lot of momentum
Marquette started 6-0 but stumbled to the finish line, going .500 the rest of the way. But can you ever count out Kam Jones?
Xavier struggled with a front loaded BE schedule, but have won 7 straight and can definitely upset anyone
Nova could be a sleeper team, but equally likely they could flame out against Seton Hall in round 1
Georgetown is not good and also stumbled to the finish line, but I could see their backcourt catching fire at any time
You've become a real buzzkill, dude!Story of the BET this year is StJ, and it’s not even close.
Nova will be interesting as they have talent and are in a corner.
Xavier is desperate for wins.
The bottom 5 really arent any good.
For us, just interested in seeing if we really have improved because 3 of the last teams we’ve beaten stink and Marquette is in a tailspin, having lost 6 of last ten. These last few wins could be fairly hallow. A win against a desperate and talented Nova would be more of a test than what we’ve seen, in my opinion.
< 2011 would be my guessI would call this the vast minority of fans thinking. A run in the NCAA all but wipes out any disappointment in a conference tourney, you also get to extend your season a week. You get paid for advancing in the dance - no funds coming from winning the BET. Such a weird take. I love the BE purists, but it's highly ignorant to the macro view and economics of today. There is a large group of fans here who wish they could go back to 1994 and stay there forever.
If tailspinning Marquette shot just below average on free throws yesterday, they beat Story of the BET St John's in regulation, instead of losing in OT on a miraculous buzzer beater.Story of the BET this year is StJ, and it’s not even close.

Other than the crappy late game slots, it's very good for us. I really wish we had earlier games.I love how this sets up for us. Xavier and Johnnies on the other side of the bracket.
I'm pulling for the team has the best chance to beat StJ, and to me that is Xavier. I also don't think Marquette has any chance to make noise in the Big Tourney, Xavier could.Xavier vs Marquette is going to be one of the best games to watch in the whole BET! Kind of rooting for Xavier in this one to get 5 from the Big East in. Great Thursday game.
9pm Wednesday: Nova vs Seton Hall is not so appealing to watch but it does show us who we will play at 9:30pm Thursday.
We will get a tired Nova team (likely) as tipping off < 24 hrs after theirs ends. Need to run our Offense to tire them out more fully and press them on D to tire them out. Win this for a 23-9 record for a day and we can see what the other 22-9 teams did.
Our bench will be the key for 3 games in 3 days (optimistically) - have to keep our guys fairly fresh with Reed, Jr., Mahaney, Ross, Stewart, even Nowell getting some run.
If we had beaten Seton Hall on the road.....no wishing would be needed.Other than the crappy late game slots, it's very good for us. I really wish we had earlier games.
Wouldn't have changed our seeding. We would have been tied with Creighton in the standings, but lost the tiebreaker as Creighton was 1-1 against St. Johns, and we were 0-2.If we had beaten Seton Hall on the road.....no wishing would be needed.
