Big East tournament bracket

Glad to see that the Big East has finally added NBC SN as a place to watch the tournament games.
As of this afternoon, on one of the website pages, it still only indicated Peacock.

Good luck with trying to see it on NBC SN. I tried watching all the games on Peacock on NBC SN and it wasnt on there.

Only the streaming Peacock had the UConn games and not the cable channel Peacock.

What is the Peacock cable channel?
It's my understanding, and I am paying for, that Peacock is a streaming service only.
In November 2025, channel NBC SN was revived on YouTube TV and broadcasted some programming from Peacock but not all. Soon after, Xfinity TV added NBC SN and also broadcasted some Peacock programming.
At some point, some Big East women's basketball games were added to the NBC SN schedule including the UConn at Villanova game last month. This is according to the schedule on the UConn Huskies website.

I don't mind the Peacock app. I think the price is decent for the quality of the streams and being able to watch replays. I only subscribe during basketball season. That said, I'll luckily be in the stands for the tourney.
 
Like much of the state we are serviced by Spectrum cable. While they have added NBCSN back as a channel (814) I checked today and they are saying they are broadcasting Atlantic 10 and Patriot league games all weekend. We get Peacock so no worries, but I'd prefer it as a broadcast so I could record it with the DVR.

You can watch on-demand after 24 hours or so. You can also join mid-game and rewind to the start, but it won’t let you fast forward through commercials to catch up.

Very interesting because as you can see in post #1 above, all BE Tournament games are on both Peacock and NBCSN. It seems to me that these games take up most of Friday and Saturday's broadcast daytime schedule for NBCSN.

Were any other BE WBB games that were streamed on Peacock available on YouTube?
My guess would be that unauthorized versions might pop up, a lot of games do.

I had trouble with the stream for the first couple of Peacock games (skipping, freezing). I do almost everything through my PC, but the problem was bad enough (going through a Chrome browser) that I switched to having it go directly through my smart TV. Much better, but the disadvantage is I can't switch quickly between the game telecast and a browser page (e.g. ESPN) with the box score.
 
Throughout all this discussion it is interesting that never once is anything mentioned about whether the product and service that we are being forced to pay for is a better, more usable product. Instead we have become accustomed to trying to find the silver bullet to try and get away from paying for something that used to be free (or at least included in cable packages, etc). Maybe this bridge was crossed a long time ago and if so we can move on but it still is worrisome how we have come to accept "streaming" as inevitable and supposedly better. Or is it we are just going to eventually cave and end up paying for something that offers the consumer actually less utility and value but at a higher cost? OK, that's enough griping. Next.

Interesting. I've never watched Peacock on my PC, only phone/smart TV/PS5. I wonder if it being on a browser instead of the app causes the issue.

And speaking of better and increased utility for the consumer, compare "streaming" channels requiring you to pay more (for less) with the evolution of mobile phones (requiring you to pay more but for a whole boatload more utility.) At first the cost of switching from a landline with Ma Bell to mobile phones was somewhat shocking but like most things new it just took a little while to remove the wall phone in the kitchen to something you carry in your pocket. Now we are accustomed to paying hundreds for something that eons ago cost maybe $15 a month. But holy moley what a difference.Talk about increased value. There's really no comparison. Try comparing "streaming" vs standard television. Where's the increased utility and value? In my opinion it's a house of cards offering little if anything more for a whole lot more. And now that's enough griping off my chest. Back to how the Big East is making more $ and how we all will need to pay more to watch our beloved Huskies.

I'm sure it is. Another issue I have with streaming services is that they don't provide Windows apps for direct connections to the service, without going through the overhead of a browser (and Chrome is a famous resource hog).
 
I use YouTubeTV and pay for the extra sports coverage (I think it's like $10/mos). I assume FUBO is the same as they have even more sports stuff. I have been able to watch every single game on NBCSN (I think that's what it's called - NBC Sports Network). I've seen each game live and they are all automatically recorded for me. I have NOT needed a Peacock subscription.

I'm guessing if anyone has a local cable subscription, any sports enhanced add on should give you access to NBCSN...
 
While the Peacock and NBCSN platforms are integrated,, some games are Peacock "exclusive" and will NOT be simulcast with NBCSN. I haven't seen anything to indicate how the BE Tournament will be covered, but I will not be surprised if the Tournament is a Peacock exclusive without simulcasting on NBCSN.

When the new NBC SN channel was rolled out by NBCUniversal in November, it was only available on YouTubeTV. It was going to broadcast Peacock sports programming. Soon after that, the NBC SN channel was added for Xfinity customers.
NBCUniversal has said that more TV providers would be added. I don't know if this has happened yet. I keep checking my Hulu Live TV channel guide to see if it has been added. As of now, no such luck. Fortunately, we have been Peacock subscribers since 2020.
 
NBC/SN is at 1211 on Comcast in the Hartford area. Based on the Channel guide on the TV screen it looks like it is televising UConn's Saturday and Sunday games, but not Monday night so that final one must be Peacock only.

Interesting. In post #1 above, the X image states "Watch all games on Peacock & NBC SN".

Correct. On my local Comcast/Xfinity service there's an NBA game on in that time slot.
 
GRUMBLE here about the evolution of watching the team BUT - if some of the $$ I pay Peacock goes to the BE which then goes to UConn to help pay for the product we so much love, then that morphs it to just a plain old grumble.
 
I hate streaming, but when my optimum bill comes in, I hate them too.

You know what's funny? When we all had antennas up on the roof, we didn't miss anything. What did that cost? NOTHING! However, that airplane flying overhead did make the picture get fuzzy.
