Is Vermont +7.5 a sneaky good bet here? I think I’ll be staying away as I don’t know enough about VT this year, but if it’s business as usual in Burlington, then they’re going to be disciplined and good.

2nd most experienced team in the country. They are good again.
 
71-20. Three games to go. Got to hand it to Providence (9-1): as long as they beat CCSU, they did what they were supposed to do and more-win the their Gavitt game and Big12/Big East challenge game and not suffer a bad loss.

Barring a CCSU disaster for them I can't see them not being ranked next week. No reason LSU is ranked and they aren't

Well at this rate Virginia is going to be a bad loss (4 losses already, 2 to sub 100 teams).

Butler is so slow. How is this even a division 1 team athletically?

How many conferences have more than 3-4 jobs you dont leave if something else comes along? BE has 3: UConn, Nova, Gtown (maybe now a days). He’d be leaving for Maryland, not a school like wake forest or Georgia.
 
Does Villanova shoot anything other than threes? Just got to guard the 3 point line when the Huskies play them.

Serious question. Why was their coach hired? He coached ONE season at UW-Milwaukee and had an 11-24 record. That was his head coaching experience before Butler hired him. Yes he's an alum but no idea why a program like Butler would go so unproven. Both him and Ewing should be shown the door at years end.

He had 6 years of successful assistant coach years a Michigan and then took a short on talent UW-Milwaukee team to the Horizon league tournament final. It was still a risk though obviously.. but his ties to the school won out.

Slow and what I've seen they just don't seem to have their heart set on the defensive end. People just stand around staring, waiting for someone else to move. Very disappointing

But the vast majority have been good looks. They really don’t take bad shots - they’re just not falling so far

It would be pretty sad for nova to lose tonight. A must win, I would think.
 
28 of Villanova's 38 shots, 74%, in the first half have been threes. I realize they're going up against a 2-3 zone but that's a little much. Especially when you shoot them at an 18% clip! There are other ways to beat a 2-3 zone. Seems like most of the 10 shots that weren't threes were off offensive rebounds.
 
I’ve BEEN saying this Villanova team is not that good. If we get Sanogo and Rese healthy I think we’re better. We can win this conference. With our size and athleticism I don’t think Nova would have fun playing us. Guard the 3 point line and flop on the Gillespie push offs. Check Mate
 
Not fouling up three is still the dumbest coaching move in basketball. One of the only things I never agreed with Calhoun on.
