Dartmouth running it up on G'town. Under 10 to go and 22-8.

EDIT: 37-21 Halftime. Ouch!

Hoyas in serious trouble. Down 10 with 2:30 to go. They have really turned up the defensive intensity and its working but it begs the question why they waited so long to do so.

Georgetown reminds me of late Ollie era. No flow on offense, one on one, late heave for 3. Dartmouth isn’t playing well - Gtown is just that bad (today). 69-60. Ugh.

.-.
Gtown went on an 18-1 run, took the lead on a dunk, crowd going crazy....and then Pifffft!! Momentum turned back on the next possession.

16-2. Need to win the last three to close out the day.

I think Val Ackerman has to try to make this Gonzaga thing work. Georgetown is a mess. Creighton and Marquette are down. DePaul is DePaul. And after a string of great hires I think Xavier and Butler ended up with mediocrity.

Slow down a bit. No reason to go crazy now. The Big East has been doing just fine... and we are a week in and doing pretty well by winning the games we are supposed to win. You want to complain? Go look at the ACC/PAC12

I do agree that we need Gonzaga. If you add them and keep the 20-game schedule, you realistically go from 5 bids per year to 7 (assuming teams 6-7 are hovering around 10-10 in conference).

Let’s get aminu muhammed in the transfer portal next summer to replace Martin. Gtown is a soccer school now.

He’s probably a one and done off to the NBA. Georgetown and Patrick are headed for tough times.

Who cares? It won’t matter long as we take care of business in conference play
Huh?? A lot of us care. Season ticket owners care. The fans that don’t bother showing up to see us beat down on garbage teams care. Did you see how many empty seats there were today? It looked like 50% capacity.

.-.
What? We care. The fans that don’t bother showing up to see us beat down on garbage teams care. Did you see how many empty seats there were?
No WE don’t. YOU do. The fans weren’t showing up for a 150-250 team either lmaoo. The fans don’t care if we play New Hampshire or Coppin St they aren’t coming. The die hards will be there regardless. No one will remember the attendance of an early November Coppin st game on selection Sunday, or on Sunday night at the big East championship game

You’re Wrong about everything other than the die hards of which apparently there aren’t that many. I’m not the only one saying this but I would happily go see UNH or umass or any Ivy play. I’m not going to see CCSU or Coppin state in person. And since when don’t ticket sales matter ? That’s news to me.

Geez. Georgetown still trailing. I'm starting to think no one can revive that Hoyas program
Did they win the NBE tournament last year or was that an 80s TV rerun?

18-2. Butler not looking good so far.

.-.
nova loses. snapping that nice 15 game winning streak for the league.

Nova almost had it... but the boys checked out 4 mins before the end of 2nd half. Bruins had all the momentum going into OT
Didn't someone say that UCLA sucks and were the most overrated team?
They aren't the best team in the country but sure are one of the best
As much as I do not care for Cronin, he has himself a nice team

Yay…Have you looked at Nova or Halls schedules?
Ya but what works with them does not work for us right now, IMO. We just got back into the NCAAs last year after a long hiatus. This team needs more confidence builders. We are going into the right path. Next years OOC should be more challenging.

You’re not wrong that having a few “high profile” OOC home games would be great, but idk that more people are going to show up for Dartmouth or UNH instead of CCSU (sold out) or Coppin State and the like.

If we’re trying to upgrade the OOC home slate we need to shoot for a regional school like UMass or Temple, at a minimum, but those games most likely don’t come without a H&H contract. And if Hurley is going to play a true road game OOC it seems like he really wants to make it count (WVU, Florida, etc.). Hence why we get CCSU and Coppin state for the first six weeks of the season.

Nze just hit a buzzer beater before halftime from below his own free throw line.

Georgetown is going to be the team that steps up in the NOOB. LOL. They would love to get into the Ivy League. The Ivies might need somebody to hold up the league.

There are going to be some crazy outcomes early in the season. Miami lost to UCF and NC State needed some very friendly home-court officiating to beat a bad Colgate team. Georgetown has several new players and lost some key contributors from last year. They were ripe for an upset.

Butler, on the other hand, needs to win tonight.
