Is there anyone that didn’t expect Neptune to blow it? That loss should go on the record of Villanova’s athletic department and President for not having fired Neptune yet.

This year is a wash already - this team isn’t going anywhere. Might as well keep some class and do it the right way. It's not like there's a Jon Wooden sitting on the beach looking to turn this dumpster fire around.

Very smart but also very stupid not to anticipate that - must have been at least two guys open.
Perkins had a wide open three to win the game. Unfortunately he was 0-4 today

2-19 from 3? SJ still a tough team to play for us, don’t be misled by close losses.
This is exactly the sort of team that will find ways to lose out of conference and then make life miserable and impose "bad losses" on national contenders in conference play.

This. But it was always going to be this way.

Today they lost to a team that will give some SEC teams "bad losses." Georgia is talented, but unlikely to consistently play to that standard.

The Hall up by 13 several times in the 2nd half. FAU doesn't hit a basket for 7 mins and yet, it's a one-point game with 24 secs to go.

EDIT: The Hall escapes 63-61. BE 1-2 today. :(

If we play Gonzaga and they are #1 ranked but it will not count makes as much sense as the formula given public opinion should UConn win.

Well today the BE took another hit. We are not supposed to lose that game and then the way we did was hard to watch. Unfortunately kids not in school this week so we got to suffer together. Not the best start to the week.

Lost in this loss was that the BE took another hit in terms of quality of conference. Creighton has a big one today vs SDSU, favored by 3. I can see them losing that without Ashworth. If they drop that and we come out 1-2 with only win against a bad Colorado team, the BE rap is gonna be at a low point. Xavier has had a couple ok wins, nothing to write home about. Right now only one holding us up with any clout is Marquette.

Couple huge games todays outside of Maui - Duke/Kansas and Houston/Bama.

Creighton missing Ashworth is a major blow, especially as they're hitting their most difficult stretch of the non-con season. Even if it's a minor sprain and can come back quickly, he won't quite be himself for a bit I'm sure. At least UConn has a lot of opportunity to get things in order and help the cause.
