Remember when everyone, including the Big East coaches, thought Creighton and Marquette were going to be good? Ugh, they both aren't looking so hot.
A client of mine gave me mid court tickets to this one so I took my 5 year old today. He’s never been to Finneran.Nova just beat Pitt by 18.
Remember when Pitt fans were adamant that they always preferred Capel over Hurley? Good times.
Bold prediction: McDermott will announce he is retiring from Creighton before the season ends. He can’t be enjoying this

They beat us a few years ago with Kadary Richmond just taking turns roasting us one on one. It was a pick-free win. But a different coaching staff and different roster back then.Does Seton Hall not believe in screens?
Do you guys make money out of hating the big east? The big east absolutely does suck. It’s far and away the worst “power” conference. Should probably not even have that label anymore.
Big diff between taking top teamS and taking away 1 team. Take out the top team from B1G or B12 and y still have good teamsIf you take away the top teams in a conference from any analysis like this, it will always look bad.
It is a liability for us to be in the big east. It is far and away the worst of the power 5. Where am I wrong?Do you guys make money out of hating the big east?
Like seriously
The amount of irrational messages on this board against the Big East is tiring.
Who cares? It is a liability for us to be in the big east. It is far and away the worst of the power 5. Where am I wrong?
I do because I want the best for us. It is not good that we don’t play another game that help us advance until February. Every game we play from now until then can really only hurt us. That is not good.Who cares?
Tell Hurley not to lose any games. The reality is if we lose a game to Villanova, Seton Hall or Butler, it'll help them a heck of a lot more than it'll hurt us.I do because I want the best for us. Yep.... we don't play another Q1 game until SJU on Feb 6th. That's 12 straight games. :-(I do because I want the best for us. It is not good that we don’t play another game that help us advance until February. Every game we play from now until then can really only hurt us. That is not good.
He can say it's health related. Isn't the next coach already there? He may not want to go out like that.
Hopkins was a nemesis at PC. I expect no less now that he is playing for Rickey. Weight loss should help the knee and his chances at the next level. Great competitor. Wish him all the best except when he plays us.SJU is very athletic with guys mostly in between 6-4 and 6-7. They are switching on every screen on defense and forcing 1-on-1 play.
Hopkins looks slimmer and quicker. I don't know about his perimeter shooting ability if that has improved.
Not true. Right now @ Seton Hall on Jan. 13 is a Quad 1 opportunity.Yep.... we don't play another Q1 game until SJU on Feb 6th. That's 12 straight games. :-(
If the current NET holds up, we'd play our next Q1 game on Jan 13 @Hall (NET 38)Yep.... we don't play another Q1 game until SJU on Feb 6th. That's 12 straight games. :-(

We play several teams where fans both in Connecticut, and elsewhere in the Northeast can attend road games.
We don’t wear out the players (and coaches) with extensive travel.
Our conference tournament is at a great venue within easy reach to most fans.
We don’t overly dilute our finite resources trying to compete in the nuclear arms race that is college football (ducks and runs for cover - but its true)
If being in the Big East is such a liability, why has no other conference won more in the last ten years?
