10 teams, no division, eight conference games for 2013.

Knowing the brilliance at the top, my money is that UConn somehow doesn't play Rutgers.

Who were the options to replace SDSU for us? I think Houston was one.

If ever a post was simply about being a schmuck for no reason other than being a schmuck, there it was!

Actually, yours qualifies as well. As does this one.

I don't think your post is at all obnoxious. It is reasonable to think that one should just ignore those trying to crap on the program for utterly no reason rather than call them on it. But I disagree with your opinion.

Personally I think next year's Big East season will be a lot of fun. Total chaos and a big opportunity for UCONN. Hopefully the Louisville game at the Rent will be for first place.

I know I'm not always funny but I was making a joke. Do you have to fire people today or something?

Wish I shared your enthusiasm. Louisville will be the biggest favorite to win the league since we joined.

You're right, the big east leadership totally has a history of nothing but groundbreaking and brilliant ideas. Why would I, or anyone, ever doubt their decision making.

Yes. Not liking their decision making and doing the stupidest thing in the history of the world are exactly the same thing.

While trying to avoid the "my dad is bigger than your dad" fun - why would a 10 team league play 8 conf games? Um, is it that hard to play 9?

There is a lot of doucheyness in this thread, but I agree with you - somehow we've managed to avoid the singular advantage of a ten-team conference.

Because we were supposed to be a bigger conference and everyone has already scheduled 4 OOC games for next year. We would you disrupt that many schools and tell everyone now, in January, that they have to drop an OOC opponent.

Thats true. Any chance Bridgewater enters the NFL draft this year? Doesnt seem like a great year for QBs and he would be one of first ones picked I would think.

Not until next year. Have to be 3 out of HS to be eligilble for the NFL draft. He was a true Soph last season.
That's what I thought. I didn't think he red-shirted. Well, at least we have that to look forward to. ;)

I would, yes. Schedules have been in flux and will continue to be until the merry-go-round stops. For once, the BE needs to say, we are putting ourselves first -everyone take patsy and shuffle them over to a future year. We're not having teams play everyone but 1 and then arguing all year about which school got an advantage becasue they didn't play X. We're like the polite gentleman that opens the door for the old lady and then stands there forever while everyone runs in w/o even a thank you. That or get ECU and Tulane (got, I hate saying that) in now, split in to 2 divisions and then sell 8. Which school would we have trouble moving off or back?

Well, if we screw up Michigan we will have an open date. ;)

Your options would be that you move Towson and have a conference game the first week of the season. So most likely you'd have to move Buffalo. But, why would we bother given that the 2013 configuration of the conference is a one year deal.

We don't play Houston this year according to McMurphy on twitter.
