Xavier has had a weird season. They certainly have the talent to be a second weekend team.Creighton cut a 22pt deficit to 8 and had the ball, turnover and then failed to grab a defensive rebound after a stop and now hit with a 10-0 run, game over
Not necessarily. They should be in, but if they lose their first game in the BET and there are a few bids thieves (hello Memphis, Drake, VCU, etc.) they will be out.Freemantle is going crazy right now. If Xavier takes care of business against Butler and Providence they're clearly in.
Yes.If we win our next 2, vs Marquette and SH, do we get at least a 3 seed in the BET ? By beating Marquette twice we would be 2-0 head to head, so we would have same record.
Getting 3 or 2 seed, we would avoid SJU in the quarters.
The 2011 UConn Huskies say helloWe aren't getting a 3 seed even if winning the BE tourney. We are too far behind. I could see a 5 seed and maybe a outsidee shot at a 4 seed. St. John's a 3 seed now which puts it in perspective as they have had a great season. Winning games at the end of the year is nice but doesn't wipe out our resume of bad losses.
Yeah but this New Big East is not like the Old Big East in 2011 as far as being a power conference. The 2011 UConn Huskies say hello
Very good day for the Big East today. All the teams the conference wanted to win won.
It’s hilarious you’re probably serious with this comment. The 2011 UConn Huskies say hello
And Texas and Nebraska.A few other bubble teams (SMU and Arkansas) puked themselves today.
The shine is wearing off that Texas win. It's still considered a Quad 1 win for UConn if I am not mistaken so it helps, but I just wanted that win to look more impressive. And Texas and Nebraska.
Oklahoma lost, too, but it was a reasonable loss.
The bottom of the SEC isn’t a whole lot better than the bottom of the Big East when it comes down to it. SEC is top heavy, but I think most of the teams once you get past Auburn/FL/Alabama/Tennessee are just kind of meh.The shine is wearing off that Texas win. Screw this….,I’m not afraid of SJUHopefully X hold on here, but Creighton has Seton Hall and Butler left, so they will hit the 2/3. It's all going to come down to the Marquette game to stay out of the 4 seed.
What are you talking about?? We are inAs of this moment, St. John’s is a lock. Marquette locks it up with a win tonight.
Us and Creighton want to go 2-0 this week to leave nothing to chance.
Xavier needs to go 2-0 and probably win the 4/5 game to get in.
Respectfully, Oklahoma is 4-12, 14th in the SEC (Big East only even has 11 teams). They went undefeated in non-con beating Arizona (2nd in B12), Louisville (3rd in ACC), and Michigan (tied for 1st in B10) all on neutral courts. Then 3 other high majors (Providence, Georgia Tech, and OK St).The bottom of the SEC isn’t a whole lot better than the bottom of the Big East when it comes down to it. What does that even mean?? We were the #9 seed in the BET and after winning it we got a 3 seed in the NCAA. This DIRECTLY refutes the point that was made. It’s hilarious you’re probably serious with this comment.
Yes.... but we were ranked #21 going into the BET then we beat #22, 3, 11 and 14th ranked teams in the BET. No such lineup of teams this year. What does that even mean?? We were the #9 seed in the BET and after winning it we got a 3 seed in the NCAA. This DIRECTLY refutes the point that was made.
So WTH are you talking about??? Recency had EVERYTHING to do with our seed that year
Pitt/Syracuse/Louisville(2011) do way more to boost the resume than what they would potentially face this year, it's no comparisonWhat does that even mean?? We were the #9 seed in the BET and after winning it we got a 3 seed in the NCAA. This DIRECTLY refutes the point that was made.
