They’re down 3 starters, their not deep, they just don’t have the talent.

Thanks. I jumped in late and didn't know about the starters. They're not exactly being helped out by the sparse home crowd either.

This is a historic game for that program. Jonnie’s fans already have 5 pages worth of posts on Fridays game. How nice it would be to put little brother back in his place.

Villanova, Georgetown qualify as little brothers.

I think PC and the Johnnies are like baby brothers if we are gonna be honest. LOL

Jokes aside,
Its good to see the Johnnies win. Adds excitement to the league and hopefully drives ratings

The worst part of this game is that Butler is not just burying them.

Difficult to type it, but go PeeCee
Sounds a lot like PeePee if you say it quickly which makes it feel better.

But yeah, a win here would really help our cause.

At Nova, at Xavier and at PC are the trifecta of games that may define who wins the league. Creighton has their gauntlet starting here, as next three games against top of the league.

How does Creighton losing help us? Don’t we want more games against quality opponents? Providence is a lost cause.

In terms of run to win BE regular season.

The quality opponent thing doesn’t matter - we play both again, relative.

Maybe from a metrics perspective the game doesn’t matter, but fewer Quad 2 losses would be good, and from a perception standpoint, coming out of a 3 bid league will hurt UConn in seeding.

I was expecting you to close with something like, "The best you can say about them us that they're small, but they're slow."

Creighton is practically a lock. I’d rather we have a chance at conference title that worry about how this one game impacts computers.

I keep expecting to see Zugic do something special. Still waiting on that.

We're UConn. Hoping for the correct outcome in a game we aren't playing isn't a good look for us.

If we do what we need to do, whatever anyone else does won't matter. If we don't do what we need to do, whatever anyone else does won't matter.

Kalkbrenner is a nightmare. Him and Ashworth are basically Newt & Cling this year in how they play together.

Is this straight out of a Dr Seuss book?

Kalkbrenner has 29 points and 11 boards with 5:47 left vs Providence after starting 0/5. Providence is hanging around but they just don't have an answer for him

Corey Floyd with 16/9 right now as well

This one is over - classic case of a game where a team feels like they have to play 3x harder just to keep pace and then just runs out of gas to the much better team. PC is undermanned. Kalkbrenner feels like he could dominate if he had a bit more aggression. Creighton is going to be a very hard out - they play so composed.

I think Providence sucks but every now and then they have a game like this from outside. Did it against BYU.

Yeah, they don't foul and they don't turn it over. If they shoot it well, they're really hard to beat. Tonight they're 8/30 from 3 and still up 5
