Big East Conference Game Thread- February

Cute, but there are 4 other Big East teams in front of North Texas. I guess you can twist stats to make anything look good. Nice job!
Yes, I agree. I think you seemed to miss the point since I was agreeing with the point that this is silly. The original statement was true in letter but false in spirit.

2/23/22

Creighton @ St. John's, 6:30pm, FS1 -Kevin Kugler, Bill Raftery
Line: St. John's -5/147.5

Xavier @ 11 Providence, 7pm, CBSSN - Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas & Sheree Buruss (sidelines)
Line: Providence -2.5/139.5

Butler @ Seton Hall, 8:36pm, FS1- Noah Eagle, Casey Jacobsen
Line: Seton Hall -9.5/132.5
From a UConn quadrant resume perspective, we're rooting for:

Close St. John's win.
Close Xavier win.
Blowout Seton Hall win.

So I was planning on hammering Xavier bouncing back @ lucky providence but they’re only getting 1 point!? I was hoping to get like 4 or 5. So I’m staying away. Money absolutely hates Providence.
Yeah I mean, Vegas knows the same thing we all know about Providence.

Ugly scene in the Creighton-SJU game. Nembhard tried to jump a pass to Posh Alexander and ended up colliding and hurt his wrist. It looked like he mouthed "I broke it" or "it's broken" to the bench right after. Looks bad.

Edit: taken back to the locker room after they immobilized the wrist with a cast on the court. Have to imagine he's done for the year, but hope he recovers quickly. He's been a fun freshman to watch this year.

It’s either broken or what’s called a peri-lunate dislocation. He’s done for the year.

Thing is, Creighton is playing awful well without him. We need to take care of business against them.

Turn on St Johns / Creighton, game is getting good.

I can’t stand Creighton, they don’t beat themselves. I hate them more then Nova. I guess we should want them to win this game.

The more Providence plays the upper half of the BE, the more I'm convinced they'll be 50-50 to make the BE final game.

PC Durham re-injures his abdominal. Currently out of the game. Ok checking back in the game so I guess not too bad.

Yep, they blew that game trying to drive straight into a 7'3 Center end of the game. They needed to try to drive and kick out for a 3.
Mathis had the shot in the corner off the Champagnie pass, but he passed on the shot and instead drove into the 7 2 Kalkbrenner, SMH

Creighton will probably lose to PC since Nembhard is out for the year, but it doesn't really matter. We control our own destiny for the 3 seed. Just need to take care of business in these last 3 games

Big East refs seem to want Providence to win.
