Awesome job Pat. Hopefully, tonight the team can reward him with a few minutes of playing time at the end of the game.

NCAA investigating whether this is just a ruse to funnel an extra BB scholarship to a playa. More to follow on this story.

Hate to rag on him but...that form in the picture with article. Great going Pat!

Congrats. Think about the fact that he was able to do this while keeping a basketball player's schedule. Yep, he's going make his mark.

Very cool that he received the scholarship, but 'one of the most prestigious undergraduate academic honors in the nation', The Goldwater Scholarship only pays up to a maximum of $7,500/year? It costs an instate student about $26,000/year. You would think one of the most prestigious would cover the entire cost. Of course it's better than nothing and $7,500 is nothing to scoff at for a college kid. I'm just surprised it's only that much.

Great honor, Great achievement, Great effort and obviously a Great young man - OUTSTANDING

I think he was already on a full ride for academics. I remember reading about his UConn situation out of Xavier, and it was for 8 years (including med school). He's pretty special.

Now that the senior Craft, freshman Parker and 4-year old Martelli storylines have been retired, here's a bright light to shine.

Wow!! Huge achievement, congrats to the young man and best of luck……how about something to go along with the Goldwater huh….a ring?

He's surely a credit to the team. If he comes through with a breakthrough cure, maybe we'll see a walk-on as a Husky of Honor.

I hope he get's in the game in a UCONN blow out of Nova and the announcer recognizes his accomplishments.

Just wrong, half way through the article is an ad to buy ncaa replica bench chairs. Congrats Pat, but this team gets no respect from the media.
