I'm flummoxed by your response.
This is about a guy who is very loyal to his old coach. Short to Bradley. And though he's loyal, he also said some stupid things. As many other ex-players pointed out. But the least offensive part of his post is his discussion of PSU standards and what the school stood for. Why? Because the vast vast majority of schools in this country do not have those standards. The fact that PSU royally screwed up, and I agree with the firings (though after reading the new pretrial testimony I know things are not as you present them to be) Short only meant that PSU has higher standards when it comes to football. When it comes to pedophiles, no. But this is what he was referring to, and he's right. Any outsider that comes in there will be battling scrutinized on academics, African-American grad rate, the lack of NCAA sanctions, etc. It's quite different than say Ohio Sate. Urban Meyer comes right in and no one will care there whether the culture has changed (a culture that was like that long, long, long before Jim Tressel).
