As noted earlier...Iowa's D is suspect
So many open shots for the Turtles in the first half
and their defensive rebounding is not stellar either.
Bad combination against Maryland

Probably 100...they're at 79 with 29 seconds left end of the 3rd. Even if Brenda calls off the dogs, the bench has been tremendous too.
Neither of these teams play anything remotely resembling effective defense. If Uconn can't beat either by double digits they don't deserve to be national champion. I'm not interested in statistical permutations. On the court is all that counts this year.

Iowa all starters are double digit but all the benches only score 6 point in late 4Q.

I'm watching the MD/Iowa Big Ten Championship. The announcers were talking about the #1 seeds. They are such UCONN haters it is unreal. They really think we shouldn't be a number 1 seed. They talked about how good Stanford is and the fact that UCONN lost to Arkansas, and Maryland beat Arkansas. So they think we should be a 2 seed. They never mentioned South Carolina, or Texas A&M, losing. The bias is unbelievable. This was too funny!!!
They never said that. They simply pointed out the difference in point differential between Maryland and UConn vs. top-25 teams, which is unfair given the sample sizes and Maryland's two losses. They were making the case for Maryland as a 1-seed, not denigrating UConn.

Well, MD scored with .7 seconds left. So, Brenda is not the type to "call off the dogs". guess she's not going for the sportsmanship award.

Disagree. In order for Maryland to be a number one seed, they have to replace someone. And they were making the case for UConn to be the #1 to be replaced..

No they weren’t. But you want to hear what you want to hear.

Tomorrow Stanford will be given the top rated slot for the NCAA based on the rated teams they have played and beaten this year. The postponed Baylor game might be the key to this reasoning....or part of it.

We shall soon get an ickling as to which conferences were over rated this season. Conference have been known to make a turnaround, both in getting stronger and weaker. It often takes fans/raters a couple seasons to figure it out if they do not watch a lot of games in multiple conferences. I think this season allows for a lot of justifications for mistakes in that regard due to the lack of interconference games. And even those do not often reflect teams improvements or declines over the season.

Way overrated.
How so?

I don’t think anybody would rank them above #3 Perhaps a significant minority would rank them # 4 behind the Big 12. Perhaps you are one of those, but 3/4 is not “way” overrated.

perhaps you would rate them #5 - behind the ACC. Is that true?

Its you that need your hearing checked. THEY definitely were making the case that Maryland should replace UCONN on the one line.

Could it also be that they're playing to the audience watching? Every network has some kind of spin on it for the fanbase watching. Hyping a BIG10 school during championship game only makes sense for marketing purposes.
